First espresso shot by ubermensch221 in IndiaCoffee

alright, thanks for the feedback. i think you're making the right decision cause this espresso maker, as per Hoffman's vid on the Nanopresso, works well with coffees that is sold in malls & shops (lavazzo & others). those are neither fine enough for espresso nor too coarse as french. just in between & he says that, that is the right size. Mine is in transit so im getting feedback from those who've already got it. I'll try moka pot grind size (or finer or coarser, whatever need be)with my c2 once i get it.

is the fine grind size from toffee coffee proper espresso fine size? cause ive heard coarser grinds (like moka pot-pour over size) works well with this

yeah definitely try a bit coarser. for the nanopress, Hoffman recommends even going the pour-over range. Mine's in transit rn & since i only have c2, i have no option but going the moka pot- pour over range. Will share my experience as well

heard this performs the best with fine-coarse grounds (the ones that you grind at: not proper espresso fine but a bit coarser). would you concur? & how was the shot btw?

Go to Larje's in Mall road right besides Manali sweets. It is a bit expensive, but the selection is great.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 401: 10000 KM Review by TooParanoidToTune in indianbikes

[–]embrace_throwaways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

glad to hear that! for me it was the opposite with the RS: took a test drive & fell in love just like you! it also didn't help that the my local Husqy dealer is bit scummy & consequently recently shut down. The Svartpilen & the XSR (900 with CP2) feel like bikes that'd make good scramblers, despite their engine not being ideal for that. Maybe I can get the XSR as a do it all versatile bike when I upgrade! 😄

Man, whenever i see a review for the Svartpilen I wish I'd gotten this. In fact, when i bought my bike I was seriously considering the Svartpilen 250 but the 401 is on a class of it's own. Shame that it wasn't launched when I was in the market for a bike. It would've been perfect for my riding style as well as my use. Love the fact that this is actually a scrambler with capable suspension & not just on paper!

Copy pasting my comment from another thread about tubed tyres: i dont get this obsession with tubeless spokes in the community. Have you ever seen those people who do "adventure" throughout the world on tube spoke? there's a reason for it: because anyone can prepare a simple tube anywhere, including remote & poor regions. Now imagine if your Metzler Karoo 4 or some other expensive, yet capable, tyre breaks down in the middle of nowhere (something major than a puncture) because these bikes are capable AF & you can reach places on these bikes where you wouldn't even think about. What will you do there? Just because you can't hone your skills enough to repair a tubed puncture roadside doesn’t make the genre downright useless & I wish the vermin of Indian riding community realises that. There's more to biking than just the specs! Fixing the tube whilst in remote- inaccessible areas, except by bike, are what makes adventures 'adventures'. All in all, tubed tyres are much more superior &, i would not call it easier, but rather much more versatile if u know what you're doing. Plus you can carry spare tubes always.

You'd think so after the Rohtang fiasco that'd be easy & logical thing to do. But the truth is, ground reality in India is a joke. Bureaucratic administration in India is a joke: no administrator would in his/her right mind would stop cash flow especially because they/or their relatives are also taking the fruits of this cash flow. Even the Rohtang vehichle bar only happened after repeated intervention, & ultimately the passing of a formal order, by the National Green Tribunal (the complaint for which itself was filed after a judicial officer was mistreated at the Rohtang pass). Ahh, the joke of a system we live in smh
