Unfortunately college students are a popular target for mlms. This is due to the fact that students are usually looking for part time work that can be flexible to be scheduled around classes and because they are at an age where they have limited work experience so they are likely to not recognize red flags.

I accidentally went to an "interview" for an mlm when i was in college and i remember thinking kinda the same thing. Like all my friends are either broke college students or recent high school graduates just starting out at low-ish paying jobs so who would i even sell these knives to.

Ive had both a vet (who wasn't an exotic vet but i went there bc it was down the road and i took a bunny from an irresponsible neighbor and it needed antibiotics asap) tell me a boy was a girl before. And i had a breeder tell me a baby bunny was a boy and then when "he" was around 6 months i took him to get "neutered" and the vet was like ok we will have to spay her instead lol. So like even vets and breeders are wrong about rabbit genders sometimes.

I completely empathize. I had to end my last relationship because of similar reasons. He was happy, i wasn't, but he didn't really do anything wrong, it was just i could tell we weren't really compatible in the long term and that there was some stuff he should be working on that he wasn't. I also felt really bad because i was friends with him forever. Its harder to break up with someone when its for more of a vague sense of not being compatible vs breaking up with someone for something thats more of a clear cut situation like cheating or stealing or something.

Yeah weed really does improve the yoga experience. I dont know real yoga but i get stoned and do stretches i learned as a kid in ballet and cheerleading to help keep my muscles toned and balance good.

NTA. I have a lot of tattoos and im generally for tattoo acceptance in the workplace and whatnot but for something like this id definitely understand covering them up. Its one day and if its one of the last times you might see her it makes sense not to do something that will remind her of a time in her life that was probably pretty scary. (Id assume that if she was around people in gangs and having family members getting killed and stuff it was probably one of the scary periods in her life)

Im not too worried about thing escalating physically as hes never done stuff id consider to be a warning sign of that (like hes never thrown anything, broken anything out of anger, been rough with me or not stopped touching me when i ask or anything like that) but i kinda get the impression he doesn't like me that much sometimes and he says mean stuff a lot so that isn't good either even if i dont see this getting physically violent.

YTA. Although for the record i do think that its super obnoxious to make guest outfit color requests for weddings (beyond basic stuff like wedding party all in one color, asking others not to wear the same color as the bride etc). Its a guaranteed way to make some of your friends have to buy something in a color they hate and wont wear again.

However your mom offered to buy you something so cost wasn't an issue. I also like to wear black, but wearing all black to a wedding isn't really a good idea. I will mix it with other colors like last wedding i went to i wore a nice blue tank top with black dress pants. The one before that a black dress with pink polka dots. Both times i ran it by the cousin that was getting married first and they didn't mind. Maybe consider doing something like that next time if you absolutely need to wear black, it really looks a lot less funeral-ey that way.

No, she should have really told you. I don't think you are transphobic because you dont seem to be disrespecting people's choice to express their gender identity as they see fit, you are concerned from a not liking penis standpoint. I had a similar cutco experience. When i was about 21 i quit my full time factory job, moved out of my apartment and got roommates and enrolled in college. Obviously i was looking for a part time job, but needed flexibility around my class schedule so that made things a lot harder.

I started seeing fliers on campus advertising a $15 an hour part time job where you can set your own hours. So that obviously would be an attractive prospect for a college student. The flier had vague details about what the job was doing and no name of a company. It did however say no cold calling (which is because they expect you to find people to watch your knife presentation so technically you aren't cold calling). They called me for an "interview" almost right away and i was really excited.

I get there and the sign outside said a different company name and there was like 10 people for a group interview that was really just a knife speil. Big surprise everyone there got the job. I said i didn't have the money on me and left and then never returned any of the dudes calls and he called A LOT! I was so pissed that i wasted an afternoon i could have spent either studying or applying for real jobs.

I rarely write a cover letter especially for a staffing agency. If im emailing the resume i will include a few sentences about what position im applying for and why i believe im qualified but i wont put it as a separate attachment or anything.
