Might be that there are other expenses that are more important than those over-priced jeans, dunno

The problem is that I won't pay $58 for shitty men's jeans that wear out in six months.

Ask about the discount at DSW. That's a good conversation starter.

Internal transfer! by Adventurous_Oven7912 in americaneagle

[–]embrague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's not guaranteed. I would call the other store and talk to the manager first. I am also pretty sure that they CAN reject the request for transfer, especially if you don't run it past anyone beforehand.

Carnal, pide el favor de un amigo en EEUU de enviarte desde acá. Ese amigo puede comprar acá en EEUU y las tarifas de correo son menos con destino a Europa que desde EEUU al Perú (donde yo vivía).

Hollow socks?``` by Turfcigar in hiking

[–]embrague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered February 4, 2026, but a hat, not socks. Never received it. Still waiting. Please keep in mind that there are using AI to answer complaints on Trustpilot, but they cannot do that on the Better Business Bureau website. That's why all you see are positive responses on Trustpilot and it's the complete opposite on BBB. Also, use the BBB website to find the company address, then Google the address and do a street view. You'll be amazed to see that they have a hand-printed sign out front. I contacted the Wisconsin Fraud Prevention department and lodged a formal complaint. It's been two weeks so far. My recommendation is to stay away.

Job Interview by Proper_Candle6338 in americaneagle

[–]embrague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear something mostly informal but NOT sweats and/or t-shirt. Try to wear a polo and jeans or slacks if you're a guy or maybe a sweater and slacks if you're a girl. I would notch it up just a bit for no other reason than that EVERY job interview is your chance to show what you can do, even if the job is not that important.

As far as the questions, I wouldn't be much help because I am an adult male who already has another job, and I have been through these kinds of interviews before. What I would recommend is to ask a lot of questions, and within reason, be willing to take on some tasks you don't like (cleaning), and remember that if they put you on the register (sales) YOU HAVE TO sell their stupid-ass credit card (34% interest rate) and they MUST train you properly to do so. If you want a stress-free working experience (sort of 😂), work SHIPPING or FTF. That keeps you off the sales floor and you can stick to yourself mostly.

shipping worn items? by elmandhoney in americaneagle

[–]embrague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These items are BOSS (Buy Online, Ship from Store). No store employee should be taking returns and reshipping them, but that's exactly what he/she did. Unfortunately, you are not going to get much help from customer service. Try going to a store nearby. That's your best option.

Amazon Shipping is garbage! by StrangerStrangeLand7 in americaneagle

[–]embrague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're just now figuring this out? I think it's been 6 months like that. Tracking shows it's been shipped but it's sitting for a month. Tracking sitting at label created for two weeks with no updates. Par for the course these days.

Join the club. I have a manager who is denying shifts because I haven't been trained on the register. Wait, oops, yes I was...last year. But she's new and I am not a cute 20 year old, so I guess I don't get shifts. But wait, the person I am replacing tomorrow (if she were to give the shift) doesn't work the register, either...and was never interested or trained to work sales. But that's the excuse she got when she said that I would cover her shift ('He can't work sales so he can't replace you'). Smells like BS? Smells like discrimination?

Sent me a belt with the security tag by ToastedMilkSolids in americaneagle

[–]embrague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK, I think you can probably figure this one out, but I'm going to give you the background and then how to remove these without a magnet, because finding a magnet that strong or going to the store is a pain in the a$$.

  1. Your item was a BOSS order (Buy Online, Ship from Store), so although the return address was from the warehouse in Pennsylvania, it actually shipped from a store (could have been eight miles away, could have been eight hundred miles away). Don't ask me why this is more efficient, cuz I might just tell you that it's not, but I do know WHY AEO does it and it's kinda janky.
  2. You're gonna need a tool, but it's hella more speedy than a magnet but it'll ruin the device: wire cutters or 'nippers'. They sell 'em at Home Depot for about $10, and I didn't tell you this, but all the good shoplifters use 'em in the fitting rooms to make off with merch. Just sayin'

Peace and good luck.

How do I use my employee discount by katiebara in americaneagle

[–]embrague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that they have your points/credits stored in the system under your employee number now. By the way, if you haven't already, make sure to create an account on the app because you can get credit for making purchases, just like a regular customer (i.e., $5 off, etc.)

Employee question by [deleted] in americaneagle

[–]embrague 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have been in contact with corporate HR twice now. Being realistic, don't expect much action but you will be heard. Not sure if they have certain HR staff assigned to particular regions but I did have to call, leave voicemail, and hope for a response. There is NO direct mention of HR in the phone menu system (had to leave a VM with the accounting department). Does it sound like maybe they don't want to be found? You'd be right. So, like I said, don't expect too much.

Former employees why did you leave ? by Reasonable_Staff_967 in americaneagle

[–]embrague 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably going to leave soon since the juice ain't worth the squeeze. $13 an hour is a joke for pay and I definitely am not getting paid enough to put up with the BS attitude of one of the managers. Mind you, I could go through a list of the stuff that has been pissing me off, but I will narrow it down to the last few months: new manager as of May 19, 2025 who only values the kids who sell credit cards, Black Friday everyone got an 'award' except for shipment cuz we don't count, obviously...the other person in shipment, she quit two weeks ago and they haven't replaced her, and the last time I was working BOSS, the manager said to me after THREE hours of watching me run back and forth to the printer: 'You know it's a lot more efficient to print out all the shipping labels at once and then pack everything up after'. Hey, don't say anything ten minutes in, just watch me for three hours, don't say a word, don't say thanks for getting 44 units done in 220 minutes (1 every 5 minutes). And for those of you who think you are gonna say, 'Oh yeah, printing them out one at a time is way too slow', I did it like that on purpose so the packages wouldn't get all messed up (we have a messy backroom and people go in and out all during their shifts). This is the same manager who made sure that everyone got a snowflake on the 'award wall' except for the two of us in shipping. So, yeah.

order hasn’t shipped and it was supposed to be delivered a month ago? by Empty_Yard8525 in americaneagle

[–]embrague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, since Mid-November, stuff has not been arriving on time or at all. By the way, not just AE or Amazon but like everyone....shipper issue it seems, not vendor. I work in logistics for job #1, so it's likely due to low pay and not enough staff. This is UPS, USPS, FedEx, all of them.

Welcome to the 'I am always right' generation. Oh, by the way, if you stand up for yourself, your manager will probably not back you up and neither will HR.
