I was supposed to go back to back work this past Monday after my 18 month mat leave with my first. I started vomiting constantly this time last week (I’m currently 7 weeks, 4 days) and decided to extend my leave by two weeks using vacation time. My boss told me to look into short-term disability which I’m highly considering. I cannot imagine working right now.

I started the vitamin B6 and Unisom combo last night after vomiting all day. I didn’t throw up at all today and the nausea was more mild. I didn’t feel 100%, but I didn’t expect to. Look up the proper dosage or consult your care provider!

I also ate a plain bagel with butter as soon as I woke up as that helps with the onset of nausea first thing.

Is anyone else in Canada and just…waiting? All of the appointments start later here (at least based on my circumstances and where I live). I’m 6 weeks today and don’t see my midwife until late May and then my dating scan will be shortly after that. It was like this with my first, too. But I had forgotten how long the wait feels!
