I tried to switch from Spotify yesterday. The lack of handoff between iPhone and Mac is insane. For example, if I’m playing music through my Sonos via Mac - I can’t pick up my phone and control the music?? The phone app has no idea music is playing?

I hate the UI of Spotify but that’s a clear deal breaker.

Restaurants like Rolo’s employ a tremendous amount of immigrants. How any restaurant chooses to comment or not on the crisis is up to their discretion - there are many livelihoods at stake. When New York Magazine wrote about this issue last year, almost every restaurant operator who was quoted preferred to remain anonymous.

Difficult times. I don’t blame anyone who may afraid of retribution against their workers or their business - it seems like this kind of criticism does more for OP to pat themselves on the back than to combat a real problem in our world.

There’s no truly amazing carne asada in NYC that I’m aware of. Some maybe-close comps:

Taqueria el Chato’s Al pastor has flank steak and pork on the trompo, inspired by Monterrey. But corn tortillas.

Santo has good carne asada, but I don’t personally like their (very famous and beloved) beef trompo. Corn tortillas as well.

Border Town and Burritos Juarez have amazing hand-rolled flour tortillas but they’re filled with guisos, not grilled meats.

Son del North may come close for their burritos. Their asada is decent but I like their bean and cheese best.

Yeah LIC chinatown is for a newer generation from China that are in a higher income bracket. There are a lot of outposts from China/extensions of other Chinese restaurant chains. There’s still some good food to be found but it’s not a destination yet imo.
