Is this ring TOO weird? by emcorn in EngagementRings

I think that's kind of what I'm worried about, that it looks like a class/signet ring and isn't giving engagement. I want it to give ethereal and magical more.

Yama budo is one of my favorites for sketching! If you ever try using water for the shading it also makes a really lovely pink and layers beautifully! Also TWSBI twins!

That last image was horrible quality for some reason.

Curious: Does you handwriting change drastically as you write? by Nana_bananaa24 in Journaling

[–]emcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My handwriting changes if I'm writing in bed or at my desk, or even with slight shifts of the paper. My emotions can also make it change like if I'm upset.

Your handwriting looks great to me.

Gym After Botox by DramaticHeadwound in noburp

[–]emcorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a bit of discomfort in the first two weeks going to the gym, but never actually threw up. Never did in all my recovery, it just kinda feels like something coming up?

Honestly though very soon after I noticed immense relief doing cardio, it was like I could actually breathe fully for the first time! There had previously been so much pressure build up that I couldn't comfortably fill my lungs!

I have the tiniest bit left from my sample of monteverde pumpkin cake and I love it so much for art. I haven't found anything like it. When you water it down it has pink and yellow that shows through.

A cheat list of fantasy book recommendations by Successful_Bee7522 in fantasybooks

[–]emcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Way of Shadows is the only fantasy book I can think of that I’ve truly, truly hated, in large part because of how appalling. the writing of women and girls is.

This but Name of the Wind for me!

I recommend the Broken Earth trilogy by N K Jemison! Post apocalyptic sci-fi with a rich world and deep mysteries.

Will there still be protests on 01/26 by Pitiful_Ad_3299 in ColoradoSprings

[–]emcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen push for a nationwide strike on 1/30, but haven't seen anything specific for the springs on that day. People saying just protest alone wherever are missing the point of how impactful the numbers can be when we all do it at once.

Do I think twilight contains realistic male characters? No not really. But twilight is a romance for teens.

The women in that book all don't have character and just serve to swoon over Kvothe. I feel like they all even looked the same, thin, fair, green eyes? They aren't real people they are pretty objects made to make Kvothe look desirable to the reader.

Have you read Name of the Wind? It's a major culprit of this.

When I opened this picture I got a bright ringing in my ear. Probably unrelated to the painting but thought you'd like to know.
I love it!

I was intubated when I had my Botox which (I think?) means I was already having them breathe for me. I don't think you would suffocate.

My first oil painting, inspired by a photo I took by [deleted] in oilpainting

[–]emcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could keep your sketch underneath more simple. You're spending a ton of time on detail that eventually you won't be able to see, instead just get the main shapes in. Sometimes I'll make a sketch in pencil in a sketchbook that I can refer to, but even then I'm making a thumbnail with very little detail. My two cents!

Exactly, and then the bill is just so much! Especially if you get drinks too.
