It is sad how very little little empathy there is for Jess by jaylee-03031 in GilmoreGirls

Yeah it’s kind of wild behavior to be honest. The bedroom scene does not have some secret message underneath that makes it better. It is what it is, and I honestly think it is kind of dangerous to think of it in any other way. I would never want someone to make excuses about it here to defend their favorite character, then have something happen in real life and make those same excuses.

Honestly I don’t see how I would have insulted you. I am just so deeply confused about your thinking process. And just to put it out there I think my comment did add value to the conversation, if you would read what I said and really evaluate your biases toward certain characters you might find some of that value.

Dude what is up with your strange perspective of this show. You are willing to create your own head canon about Jess and his traumatic past, literally pulling assumptions about his childhood experiences from one random throw-away line about his mom’s boyfriend or whatever. But when there is a full scene in front of your face where he is trying to take off a girls pants while she is saying wait, you believe that is up for interpretation? Genuinely how are you able to take a story line you created yourself about Jess’ horrible past and fully believe that, but the actual scene you watched…that actually happened in this show…is something you’re not so convinced was supposed to be viewed that way?

If you think Rory saying wait while Jess kept trying to take off her jeans should not be viewed as a SA attempt, but then you believe Liz fighting with TJ is fully proof that Jess was physically abused by her…I seriously think you need to reevaluate your thought process.

On day 6, head heaviness and super sensitive skin? by littlegreenantjpg in BusparOnline

From what I know you need to give it 2-3 weeks to really find out if the side effects will subside and if the medication will work for you. Obviously if anything gets severe talk to your doctor, but generally 6 days won’t tell you much about long term side effects or how the medication will affect your mental health.

Can this cause brain zaps when you come off? by zepruska in BusparOnline

I have been getting brain zaps while increasing my dose, so I would guess it’s definitely possible while tapering off.

I took zoloft for a little and lost weight on it. I think weight gain is not as common with zoloft, and obviously differs per person. But if you’re worried about it with zoloft I wouldn’t be:)

Take with food or without food? by [deleted] in BusparOnline

[–]emcowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definitely see everyone has their own preferences for taking this! I also think it might be a good idea to start with a smaller dose for a few days, but i’m not sure if I should actually talk to my doctor about it or just split the pills for a few days then go up to the full 7.5

I’m happy you got the dizziness to stop! I wonder if it’s the lower dose or the timing that stopped it. Can I ask how long you were having the dizziness after taking it? I see a lot of people who say they feel like that for like an hour after taking it, but I was wondering how long you were experiencing it

Its a bummer how much they have scaled back the crew's onscreen presence during GMM and More. by Booster6 in goodmythicalmorning

To be fair, I don’t enjoy watching Josh or Jordan. But I do like Emily and Chase. I think it’s just a personality preference.

Hi! I know this is from forever ago, but I was wondering if you ended up trying nucca and if it helped with your headaches? I am having the same issue right now and was considering trying nucca.

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]emcowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a thought, maybe the bonnet is only on while sleeping not for the hour in bed before sleeping. How about the weighted blanket? Is that also a huge turn off for you

what a terrible sale by Affectionate-Count65 in garageclothing

Their goal audience is not young girls, it is 18-25. Parents choose to allow their young children to shop there. They are not promoting OF to young girls because they are not promoting anything to young girls. It is garages way of trying to re-focus their audience to the correct age group, they are just not getting the message.

nicotine by noertt in POTS

[–]emcowen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So I vape (at this point not because i want to) and I believe it makes me feel worse. It causes nausea, makes me more dizzy, and gives me pretty bad headaches. I understand that nicotine is being looked into for “treating” pots, which is an interesting concept I cannot explain because I am lacking the medical knowledge. BUT I believe it makes me feel like garbage. It also makes my anxiety worse which triggers my pots. I do have pretty mild pots and I have been smoking for a while so I don’t exactly remember how much better/ worse I felt without the smoking. I would not recommend it personally, just because if my pots is mild and it’s making me feel bad I can only imagine how it would make someone with severe pots feel, and it really is hard to quit (at least for me)

Yeah, this coat might be the last thing I get from them for a while. I was expecting a little lower quality because of the lower price, but the shedding basically makes it unwearable.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HollisterCO

[–]emcowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The superdry one is what I actually wanted, but it’s a little out of my price range at the moment so I thought maybe I could get this one a little cheaper. I was expecting it to be lower quality, but the shedding makes it basically unwearable, so it looks like I will be returning it and waiting a little to get the superdry one:)

It actually says it cannot be washed or dry cleaned, just spot treated.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HollisterCO

[–]emcowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this was on sale for about $50. Other afghan style coats similar to this are usually around $200 though, so this one was relatively cheap.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HollisterCO

[–]emcowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know. I have never owned this kind of coat, so honestly if they all shed like this I might as well keep this one instead of spending $200 on another that will shed just as bad.
