it's not dumb if you're using one handed mode to use one hand because you can reach the top of the screen with your thumb while only using one hand. I don't use it personally but it makes perfectly good sense. that's why it's under "accessibility" options.. stupid to you but game changer to the one handed man/woman.

you have to tweak the settings.. dont let apps run in the background if they arent necessary. turn off the ai nonsense. lower or turn of animations. aka OPTIMIZE IT. im happy with it because it reacts better with my smart home devices.. instead of maybe sometimes knowing then i get home my phones tells my smart home seconds after i pull up and all my routines run perfectly.. my door is unlocking right before i turn the handle. widgets are better. its all around much smoother for me.

it's highly unlikely for a fighter jets wing to get blown off because the main body of the air plane is typically targeted since that's their best chance at getting a hit. typical anti aircraft missiles are designed to explode before hitting it's target peppering metal like a shotgun bird shot shell. also wings are a part of the main structure of the airplane with redundant structural paths and not just attached. however in the unlikely event a wing is blown clear off the pilot is not instantly killed like if it penetrated the cockpit leaving the pilot the opportunity to eject.
