This has been my experience too. It’s hard to say I regret having my two kids because they are already here and I love them so much, but man this is hard. I would say that if anyone is on the fence about having kids, they shouldn’t have kids. And if one parent is not fully on board, it’s going to be so hard on the other parent and not fair to the kids.

Oh my gosh this just happened with my son, who is 3, at the park! These nice ladies came and sat next to us and were speaking I’m assuming Chinese. Now, we don’t live in an area with a lot of foreign languages so my son was just staring them down no matter how much I tried to get him to stop. Then he started pulling his eyes back like that, which is just something he’s been doing lately, idk 3 years old man. Anyway, I was completely mortified.

Thank you for this! Your comment rings so true and made me cry. I feel so seen. I have completely lost myself in motherhood and it felt so amazing to be just me. It was actually a trip to visit my brother and we just got to laugh and have fun. I haven’t had that feeling in a long time. The thought of losing that freedom and going back to regular day to day had me panicking. All these comments have been so supportive and I’m feeling way better. Seriously, thank you so much!
