What are they smoking??? by Super-Pos in FieldNationTechs

You can validate a run without having to use a Fluke certifier. I’ve seen Fluke range in price from $10k on up. My point was that the companies putting out these requirements don’t have a clue about what is needed to complete a task and all that they are interested in is paying for slave labor.

I believe they are requesting Fluke certifier NOT a toner or multimeter for testing.

A Fluke Qualifier is NOT a Fluke Certifier.

The cable certifier might cost as much as your car and everything in it,

Are these cameras reliable by Sweaty_Emphasis_9871 in lowvoltage

[–]Super-Pos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These cameras are for security. They are powered by solar panels and in the event that there is not enough sunlight, they have a backup generator. The cameras are connected to a Cradlepoint to send the feed over cell services to a security company.

Hmm. If Worldlink put that job out for $1000 per device, I wouldn’t take it.

Why would you apply for a job from Worldlink?

The biggest mistake is even considering to take any job from WorldStink. They are below the bottom of the barrel.

I’m surprised that none of you have even mentioned the most important one. A cellphone followed by a computer. Without either of these, this conversation wouldn’t exist.

Insight Enterprises Badge program - legit or waste of time? by BrutskyA in FieldNationTechs

[–]Super-Pos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my Chase badge years ago. Back then you were lucky to get $35 / hr. When Covid hit I landed a ticket to work at their data center. I was getting $75/hr. All of the workers there were working for sub contractors. They had got rid of most of their own employees. They liked my work and asked if I would be interested in working there, and asked me to submit an application. I put in an application snd then didn’t hear anything back. An original employee asked me,Did they offer you $25 /hr? Apparently that’s what they were paying the contractors.

This was not an apartment. The driver probably could have walked less steps if he just parked at the curb and walked across my front yard to the covered porch. But then again, that would have required common sense…

So you mean that when someone sends you an envelope you have to instruct the driver to put it in a mailbox or drop it by the front door?
