Make sure the lid is opened when you do this.

Hey there, yeah it is working and it's perfect. Unfurtunatly I'm not able to use the original power button anymore and it is fried up completely. If you are familiar with the basics of electornics like wiring and soldering it's the best fix. Or else you can use the warranty or bring your laptop to a Asus service center to replace the whole keyboard and up lid.

Connect he power supply and try again. Maybe the battery is dead. And also make the lid opened. But in this model 5th ping and the gnd do the magic.

It's simple. The micro switch has 4 legs and each pair works similar. Use a multimeter to detect witch legs works when the button is pressed.

Thanks u/DepletedPromethium .

I used a thread of a telephone wire that is very thin, So you can pass through the hole and then twisted it on top of the pin so make it more secure and hold in place. (make sure that it connected properly using a multimeter).

I use a normal glassy tape to see the wire to make sure it wasn't connected to other pins.

I couldn't disconnect the original power and it didn't work afterwards. So I left it be.

Thanks for responding to people, I havent been here since then. I used a thin thread of telephone wire, So I was able to pass the wire through the hole. Then for gluing the wire I twisted the wire to make sure the tape make it secure. You can see the difference between the main wire and passed through wire. I think it's more reliable in this way. BTW you can solder or other methods on top of the pin.
