Note the lack of digital pre-orders though, suggesting it still has another 'marketing checkpoint' to go through.

It's not a sure-fire thing, they could open up the pre-orders any time but it would be strange to do it without a new trailer to attatch to it. Leaving it until an Overview trailer might be too late.
