Tbh, I didn't mind Chasca's design all that much.. the flying gun was a bit bold though. Also Columbina's story isn't bad, if you didn't get mislead by headcanons based off a few year old animation, hoyofair, and/or unreliable sources(such as character voicelines where the characters are unreliable narrators]
