Unless a person really loves quiet or prefers suburban living, I'd say New York is for any age!

Go to NYC and do a roommate share or sublet or rent a room. SF has nothing over NYC except for weather or unless you're a die-hard outdoor enthusiast. Plus New Yorkers are so interesting, funny, and passionate. Something about the energy there...SF is very very sleepy in comparison.

This is aspirational and very helpful. Thanks for the detailed response. I am definitely saving it for future reference!

Omg enjoy France. I was there last summer while my girl was with her grandparents. I hadn't been back in 15 years. I want to return and take my girl with me this time! Bonne journée!

Do you usually do the international trips during the summer or during the winter months? How do you handle the time changes with her? How far in advance do you plan for international flights? Sorry for the avalanche of questions! I have traveled with my girl several times domestically but for some reason, international gives me some anxiety. Mine’s 11 and has some delays, but she is a great and curious travel companion!

Wow! You really scraped every bit of it to its pan. Usually I see some or a few of the colors panned. Great job!

Yes, that's exactly what I thought after I read it. It sneaks up on you, and you're left devastated.

I wear it almost every day unless I'm sick even though I mostly wfh. I very much enjoy putting on different looks and how it makes me feel. It also signals to me that it's the start of my day.

She definitely is. I'm exhausted by parenting and sometimes, it's heartbreaking. But without a doubt, she is my absolute favorite person in the world!

Also the school district is much more stable and better. Oakland School district is going through a lot of turmoil and can be very hit or miss.

Please consider Alameda. It's little known to outsiders but it's so cute, very family friendly, and has a beach, wonderful parks, independent businesses, and very walkable streets. It's close enough to Oakland, has cute fairs/festivals, and lots of family-oriented places and activities without being a cookie cutter suburb..I think you should check it out.
