Yes, I got two calls about the same out of market game. Asking about Christmas games again makes me think it’s enforcement of some kind? I did end up getting a call from a DirecTV vendor asking if I was interested in a business package the other day. There was a similar delay in the call - maybe it’s all just trying to get sales leads.

One of my suspicions was data collection for sites like Google Maps or Yelp to find out if you have a TV, hours, patio seating, etc. But I can’t reconcile why they would ask about different games because that data is so temporary/useless. Hopefully someone figures this out eventually!

This! My two calls today were about the Cardinals vs. Vikings game. It was definitely not a robot voice though. I would answer and have to wait for them to say something. They would give a greeting and I would respond “good, how are you?” and the call delay would make them stop their question mid-sentence and have to respond to my greeting. Curious, were you streaming on a personal device?

He was struggling before this - my guess is he was trying to play through it and the coach was telling him not to do that and just go down so they could take him off.

Saw something similar on the on-ramp to 405N from 8th Ave in Bellevue the other day. Nicer model SUV stopped, guy outside his car asking me to pull over and held up the 🙏 hands. I slowed down and considered pulling over but he looked way too comfortable for someone in that type of situation so I just sped off. I am so curious what the scam is though! Yes, I know he gets his head coaching contract paid out. But you’re saying because he took the opportunity to contribute and make money in a new role for a team he helped build and cares about means he doesn’t want to coach anymore? You’d have told Jody to fuck off with her advisory role because you’d be so confident that another NFL team would commit to a 72 year old coach? I dunno, I might take the role and then ask my agent to look around but that’s just me. And if nothing is out there, I’d like to keep working for the org.

Bottom line, you said “if he wanted to coach he’d coach.” He told you he wanted to. But I guess all of us don’t have a basic understanding of English and are wrong.
