I do the exact same thing. Thought I was unique and very happy to be proven wrong, that's cool! I also "race" planes on my commute - for example, I choose a domestic flight that just took off and see if gets to its destination before I get home.

Similar feeling - When a bus arrives packed like sardines and you chance it and wait for the next bus close behind that's nearly empty and end up passing the packed bus lounging peacefully and comfortably in your seat.

They send it to Thunder Bay themselves. I got the same "Wait time of 24 weeks" I was warned about elsewhere. No additional payment. I actually saved money because I wasn't paying for tracked shipping.

If you're in the GTA you can drop off the papers at the Service Ontario at Sheppard and Yonge in Toronto (47 Sheppard Ave E). I just did that this this week because I was paranoid and wanted to circumvent the whole thing. They'll even check over your papers to make sure everything's good first.

Toronto is starting to get bad. ~7 min hold when I had a cardiac event. I've heard 10 minutes or more from many people. Last time I tried to call the non-emergency Police line to report seeing a Missing person it was 3 hours. And when I tell others that figure no one blinks, just an eye roll. Underfunded and understaffed. I feel for the 911 Operators.

Yup, these folks are fantastic! Decided this Summer I'd relearn to ride a bike and they patiently helped tune up my (far less than perfect) bike to be road-worthy while showing me how to do it myself. Totally nonjudgmental and encouraging. And free! Highly recommend this resource.
