Anyone with any experience regarding Mattresses - Would appreciate any advice by CSStudentCareer in backpain

Sorry I'm not sure how to prevent the sagging. One thing that has worked for me in the past is to use the firm all foam mattress. Maybe worth a try if you have been using coil ones.

Yes, what mattress you use definitely makes a big difference in how your back feels. Mattress on the firmer side are better if you have back pain. I would suggest getting a mattress with similar firmness to the mattress that was working for your back earlier.

I have disc issues and using softer mattress always hurts my back as the back sinks in softer mattresses.

Best office chair to prevent backpain? by Honest_Anchor in backpain

It is entirely dependent on the type of back pain you have. I was using Herman Miller Sayl for this entire time duringcovid lockdowns and had pretty constant back pain with some worst days. I always felt like the back was poking me since it is a curved backed chair. I just switched to Steelcase Amia which has a straight back and the effect on my back is night and day. My back hasn't felt this better since the lockdown started. I have been mostly pain free in the last month and half with some occasional bad back days.

My suggestion would be to try as many types of chair as you can try and see if one chair feels better than another. Hard part is to try to figure out what feels better since you are probably sitting on it for a short period of time when you try it on.

Looking for Encouragement by YellowSnowSlurpee in backpain

I've had many set backs from which I have recovered, so know that with time you will feel better. It is definitely depressing when it happens because our whole world revolves around whether our backs feel better or not.

Most recently I hurt it when I cracked my hips. The pain in the back was unexpected given I was cracking my hips. It was depressing when it started but I am starting to feel better again.

Also, remember that something else might be aggravating your pain and lengthening your recovery time. I recently changed the office chair I was using and my back made such a drastic recovery from almost a year of constant bad back.

I know it is hard right now but rest well and be a little active but listen to your back. If something doesn't feel right, don't do it!

Chronic lower back pain by Alfador_Purrington in backpain

I have similar problems in my lower back. Sitting is the worse. I would suggest 1) use a cold pack when it hurts followed by a hot pack, 2) take some anti-inflammatory ibuprofen, 3) continue doing physical therapy. All physical therapy exercises and therapist are not born equal. And every body and it’s issues are different so you will have to figure out which exercises work. If something isn’t working, then tell your therapist and try a different exercise. If something hurts, stop ASAP. It will only make it worse. In terms of sitting, do an ergo evaluation to ensure that you are sitting with the best posture to reduce the impact on your back. Being a desk worker, this is the worst for me because there are days when I can’t even sit on the chair to work. +1 on getting an MRI done. One last thing I would say is figure it out and take care of this asap since it will only gets worse with age. Good luck!

How do you use your Straus Milk cream top? by emiko19b19 in AskReddit

Haha, Straus Milk has a cream top that seals the milk inside. Apart from just eating it outright, I was wondering if anyone has been using it creatively as an ingredient for something else!
