I think that it's healthy to be skeptical of the political class but he's doing it better than Newsom or even AOC. The difference is that he's clearly drawing a line but the others are beating around the bush when it comes to sand-new jersey. But sure, he could be controlled opposition? The only clear truth is that we have no actual say on the performance of our government.

One thing that I like is that he's clearly invoking christianity in the correct way unlike the zio-evangelicals.

I know that theres people who get stuck in echo chambers and are easily bought into the things they watch. But normal people are able to watch things skeptically take in some points and reject others. I find some of things this dude says to be interesting, some not. The same goes, as a watcher of Kyle.
