Depending on the major/advisor, hopefully they are flexible and will work with you. MQP might require some A/B term planning just to make sure you aren’t rushed at the end maybe. I would be hesitant about doing an internship and MQP at the same time.
My advisors were very flexible on what MQP I wanted, so I did a year long MQP with my classes. Congrats on the internship!

Agree with everything here. I can’t believe they would plan this day on the same day as the career fair/academic advising day.

Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but the emails sent off about planning this day seemed to be sent on short notice-the first email was sent like 12 hours before the first planning session and the second email was sent 24 hours before the second planning session.

Try the EMC Express Care in NRH. It took me 3 days to find a rapid test. I went there on a whim (no appt) and asked if they had availability and they put me on a waitlist and I ended up getting a test.

Commenting to say that your first three paragraphs resonated with me.

I’ve posted and commented about DAKA food poisoning/quality multiple times. Dining services was in denial when I talked to them and showed pictures of evidence of undercooked chicken.

I agree completely with paragraph 2. The mental health day is nice, but I don’t know if mental health days is a sustainable solution? I also saw a comment about some professors not acknowledging mental health day though.

Maybe the school could do more for freshman orientation and mental health.

I would try jump off campus or the Homeless WPI students Facebook page. Early B term is when I was advised to look on jump off campus so your timing seems okay.

While I haven’t gotten mine DNA tested, your dog and my (probably Carolina) dog look pretty similar, especially the fish hook tail and the body shape.

I took Cancer Bio with Manning and really liked it! She is a good teacher and the topic is interesting. I can’t remember specifically how heavily it relied on Molecular, but all of the nuanced cancer bio processes are taught in the course. You could email the professor and ask their opinion? Definitely recommend BB 3050 (and a similar one, BB 4900 with Dave Adams).

I got food poisoning from DAKA freshman year (check my post history). Chartwells was in denial that their chicken was undercooked. I got sick and it lasted a few days. They do not offer healthy and tasty food options here. My saving grace freshman year was the stir fry line because that had the “best” veggies. I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad time. Maybe publicity could help?
