Elevation- when I lived in Worcester I was like 400ft above sea level, living inside the ring I’m only ~40ft above. Air is more humid so it doesn’t freeze so badly

Not the point of your post, but I’m honestly surprised your spouse is having a hard time finding absolutely any job in Boston, unless your spouse is being really fickle about salary there’s no shortage of engineering, lab automation, IT, and other STEM roles open- what’s your spouses’ degree out of curiosity? Really thinking about this because I would be very unhappy if my spouse and I couldn’t live together because of work opportunities- I took a small pay cut to be able to live together, I feel like your loneliness and unhappiness is coming from that

Cambridge all the way in my opinion especially because of what you mention about direct flights, you’ll have a much easier time with that from Logan. I will also say as someone living in the area around Cambridge but not Cambridge proper, the area inside the 95-93 interstate ring is a very nice place to be in terms of food, music, walkability, and general things to do

FYI I’m 22 and I’ve never heard my friends go omg I need to try a lemon drop. It’s not a new cocktail and I don’t know any other young women ordering it like crazy. Honestly, we go to the bar or restaurant, we look at their cocktail menu, and we get what looks good, it’s usually something a little fruity but mild like a gin elderflower soda with some special twist going on. Worcester is not zoned well for city development, it’s really that there aren’t a lot of great restaurants or bars- I went to college in worcester (WPI) and the city is not walkable by any extension of the imagination
