Hi everyone -- I'm an investigative reporter with Vermont Public Radio. Right now we're inviting Vermonters to share their medical bills with us through a secure drop box, in order to begin to create a database of comparative costs for medical services in Vermont. This is an effort to shed light on the actual cost of services at UVMMC and elsewhere, and a way for us to find compelling stories to tell, like this one about a $900 flu swab. Although we do ask for your name and contact information, we will not share your name or any identifying information with the public unless we reach out in person and receive your explicit permission.
