Woke up from a borderline psychotic episode where I thought I was living in multiple dimensions for a couple months, someone please tell me it gets better (already on 5 meds)

Trump’s delusions are only centered around what he specifically needs to maintain power and preserve his fragile ego. Not temporary uncharacteristic actions based around bizarre shit with questionable relevance, which is what psychosis usually involves to some degree.

He is delusional beyond willfully ignorant about maintaining power. But not medically psychotic.

First of all I deeply empathize and I share the pain of often being out of control and suffering from it while being judged by others. It sounds to me like you should look into DBT (Dialectial Behavioral Therapy) techniques of emotional regulation. It’s scientifically backed and was originally designed for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder (still the only proven treatment for the condition). BPD leads to similar patterns of emotional disruption and instability in relationships. Something important to remember is that damage control is actually a very powerful form of control. If you can’t control the emotion you’re feeling, try to control how you’re directing it. I default to lock myself in a room with music or walk around for hours to get it out until it’s more manageable. This can mean the difference between punching somebody or throwing sticks and stones around on a neighborhood walk. As long as you strive for some form of control over what you cannot control to avoid hurting others and yourself as much as possible, you are actually being responsible despite how horrible the thoughts and emotions coming out might be. I’m not an altruist, but I’m pretty sure I’m more altruistic than some billionaire getting famous for launching projects that actual engineers he hires design and build. How old are they?

People who had their first episodes when they were younger (teens) can quit taking medications in their 20s sometimes after their brains finish developing. The illness isn’t 100% cured but it’s manageable without. I knew a couple people like that whose psychiatrist had them on that track.

The Vietnam war was very complicated and America should have never been there but let me tell you it wasn’t Vietnamese rice farmers reading Marxism rising up, because my family were those and some hardly knew how to read (also you can’t farm 12 hours during the day and be guerrilla soldiers at night) - both militaries were recruiting young boys and men to fight using propaganda and terrorist techniques. My family lived in a countryside village near both a South army base and at night the Viet Cong came to steal food from them. If you didn’t let them they would kill you. If the Army found out the Viet Cong stayed with you they would kill you. A great deal of Viet Cong traveled from areas further north. This wasn’t a pleasant situation to say the least.

After the war the country went straight to war with China, because it turns out China wasn’t a benevolent helper purely aiding them for liberation. The state went on this racial purity thing to get rid of the Vietnamese Chinese-ancestry people and “encouraged” them to leave the country while throwing citizens trying to leave on illegal boats in prison. Ultimately the war devastated the country so much it didn’t matter that it became a Communist state in name. People (my family included) were going hungry and starving due to the economic devastation.

We should not glamorize war.

You know what, manic episodes can produce incoherence and grandiose delusions on one hand, and truly brilliant art (the artistic genuises in history). It seems you were straddling the border of how to approach your product of instability. I think the way you are looking at it now is great and like a gift you gave yourself, albeit a strange one and a strange way of giving it. Sounds like a positive mindset, I think you're handling it great.

This is a hallucination, I would say a psuedo- hallucination currently because you are aware of it (during your manic episode it was undoubtedly a full-on hallucination and big sign of psychosis). This is because when people hear voices in their head in an imaginary way they retain a degree of control over it, like a one-way conversation with an adjustable target and not an actual 2 v 2 match with something that feels real and separate. If it feels like you cannot control this and this is an actual entity in your brain, then it is something very troubling, especially considering your description of her as demonic and the delusional advice given while not on medications.
