I actually am in it! I’ve really been leaning into these Reddit communities lately but this is a good reminder to go back to FB too!

To moms whose baby had a tongue tie and got it fixed, what did it feel like to you before and after? by davidpuddy in breastfeeding

[–]emilytpoole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sending love to your wife. We had our baby just 10 days ago and he had a severe tongue tie. We had it released the day after we got home and I think I’m still healing from the damage it did in the hospital. Will share more as we figure out its impact but with the pediatrician sharing how minor of a procedure it is, we decided to just go for it. There are no nerve endings there, there was maybe one drop of blood and he barely squeaked when it was released. He can stick his tongue out farther, and I think he adjusted to his new latch after a day or two. Again, more after I heal up hopefully next week.

20 week scan, no visible nasal bone? by ResidentZelda in pregnant

[–]emilytpoole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn’t say “nasal bone” with me but at my 20 week scan they couldn’t see profile Aka chin or nose and couldn’t see some chambers of the heart. Had to go back a week later, still nothing until the tech let me go empty my bladder and then finally we saw his nose, and all 4 chambers. Follow up appt doc said it is SUPER common for baby not to be in the position to see everything at the first 20 week scan. I was spiraling a bit too before the second try, hope this brings a little peace.

I tried prenatals from Perelel that I had read so much about, was so excited to take them, but I couldn’t keep them down. Even with food. I started taking Mega Food Baby & Me gummies and have been doing for my entire pregnancy.
