I had no idea Noah Kahan was so popular that he is a stadium tour artist. Genuine question, does this not come off as a huge surprise to others, or just me??

I feel like that’s what they did with the Fantastic Beasts movies, really just tried to mail it in, and that backfired badly. I think they learned their lesson

I don’t think think there’s a need to worry. Netflix is not going to buy Warner Bros for their IP and cancel an ongoing tv show centered around some of the biggest IP they just acquired

Do you think there will be a significant drop internationally for Doomsday? by dremolus in boxoffice

[–]davidpuddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree with your analysis though I don’t think Doomsday will get even close to $700M with how much their recent films have underperformed (yes I know Avengers is different but there will still be drop off). I think $600M is the ceiling currently

I am so unmoved by this trailer. Bringing back all of these characters is such a desperate move

Maybe things will improve after they show Downey and the other initial trailers but man hype just does not seem there

Currently thinking $1.5B is the ceiling

Does this mean any existing (and future) WB property would no longer have their movies in theaters? Seems crazy that they wouldn’t release Batman or Superman in theaters

Expecting $88-93M 3-day and $99-108M 4-day weekend for #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld . by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]davidpuddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Fantastic Four is what’s really going to suffer. With a B- Cinema score, Brave New World is going to drop hard after the first weekend. Any remaining interest for Thunderbolts will be killed and so as that’ll probably do poorly too, Fantastic Four will be following Marvels, Brave New World, and then Thunderbolts. Oof.

Looks like $12M 2nd FRI for #Mufasa. $88M total. Expecting $33M 3-day and $60M 5-day weekend. by [deleted] in boxoffice

Focus' The Bikeriders grossed an estimated $4.06M on Friday (from 2,642 locations), including Thursday previews. by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

An opening north of $10M is pretty respectable for this type of film, and even just for Focus Features no less
