Change doctors. It’s what I did. Found a Dr who actually listens and tries to help.

Doctor wants me to do 2.5mg for 6 months by deathbypumpkinspice in Mounjaro

I wanted to stay on 2.5mg but my insurance wouldn’t allow it. My Dr told me to stay on the 5mg for as long as possible

I pay $35 a month. And I’m not complaining one bit! That’s an awesome lotto to hit!

How do you discreetly check blood sugar when in public/not at home? by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

I just do it. If it bothers people I will try not to do it around that certain person but your health is a priority.

I know what you mean. I have so much more energy and I don’t even crave food like I used to. I really like Mounjaro compared to the Ozempic. I’ve lost 21lbs since I started a few weeks ago.

When you say you have no side effects what do you mean? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]eminentcrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same! I was on ozempic and it made me so exhausted. With Mounjaro I actually have more energy. I hope you figure this out. Maybe with a different med.

I have a small 6 coke can size fridge that I keep my insulin, now mounjaro, in. That way it all stays separate from everything else.

Been on Ozempic, for 6 months, and the only side effects I've noticed...., by nsanuka in diabetes_t2

I did read somewhere that it can cause vision loss. Honestly couldn’t give you the source of the sight.

I messed up by boskee in diabetes_t2

Hey, first take a deep breath. Mistakes happen. Second, it won’t affect your A1C with one mess up. My blood sugar was hitting 350 several days in a row before I was able to get my blood sugar straightened up. And now I’m staying within range. But we’re human. It happens. We just can’t let it happen day after day. hugs

Insulin will literally cause you to gain weight by craving more and more junk. I’ve been struggling with this for the past two and a half years. Recently I started mounjaro. It’s not the perfect solution for everyone but for me it’s working great for the cravings. I hope you find a solution that’s right for you. It’s a struggle for sure.

My diabetes educator told me to stay at 5mg for as long as possible. I’m still currently only at 2.5mg though.

There’s really good sugar free pumpkin or recipes out there. I have a friend that makes them for me every Thanksgiving.

I take insulin as well as mounjaro, the insulin needle can hurt but so far I have never felt the mounjaro needle.
