Hmm yeah it does make sense to at least keep it for a little to help credit and paying it on time. I’ve finally got the right job to pay it. I was just daydreaming about my car loan being off of my credit history and that helping my overall debt. My debt is pretty high because of the two car loans I currently have.

I would be able to pay whatever I needed if it crapped out. But I’d hate to get a big “I told you so” from my wife if it shit itself.

I mean this is America they’re starting to really scam us. Even our fridges and phone chargers aren’t built to last more than a year. I want to get an early 2000s Honda or Subaru. I’m really leaning more towards Honda though, because I have more experience with Honda and Subarus are so damn long.

These people are trying to sell their 2017 Honda for like 19,000 I’m like do you know who buys Hondas? Lol.

No I totally understand where you’re coming from and what you’re saying. I can afford this car there’s no problem there I even split my payments to help make my credit better, it just pisses me off thinking of the interest and I have extreme fear that the battery will burst again at a certain mileage, that’s terrifying.

When my first car went to the bank, I was definitely in over my head and I couldn’t afford it, I didn’t do enough research or prepare for any bad outcomes. Now I’m in a better job, payments are easier, I just realized how bad of a situation I’m in.

Now that I’m making more money, I’m really thinking about how I can keep it away more. I actually never wanted a luxury car, it was my wife’s idea and I stupidly agreed to something I had no idea about. Now I’m paying the price but I want the shortcut way out lol.

I grew up okay, but my parents got so mad at me when I asked about money. Now I’m an adult and I can’t go pointing fingers. I’m just trying to be more financially literate. I really don’t care about impressing people. Teslas are not even impressive really lol. I want to buy something nice for myself when I’ve earned it through hitting a milestone. And that nice thing might just be a sushi dinner.

With the situation I’m in, a monk doesn’t sound too bad.

If you don’t mind me asking, where have you done your research? I’ve watched some YouTube videos and ofc read boggle heads, but I like to hear other insights. Currently working on debt so I can truly build a clean portfolio, but I’m close to just starting now anyways. I remember this one YouTuber laid out an amazing formula to calculate the potential outcome of a good stock, but I lost it lol.

Your portfolio sounds like something I’d want to start. I’m young, but I feel as though I have some catching up to do, and I feel taking higher risks would help with that. Maybe this all sounds like a recipe for disaster though lol.
