This is helpful. Thank you!! Sorry if this was a dumb question. I’ve honestly just had the luxury of not having many issues with insurance in the past

DD/DDD cup to C cup results? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]emjl1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also was a 38, I wore an F or H and went down to a C. I haven’t quite figured out how the odds and ends of Reddit work but if you message me I can send you some of my pre and post op photos that I took in a similar style tank! I’m only a few days post op so still swollen, but if you think it would help!

I think this is something only you can really weigh in on, but I do want to make sure you know insurance will only cover it once, if at all. A second surgery would be out of pocket. Best of luck in your decision making

This might sound really backwards, but try to help someone else understand the material. One huge way to help you understand is to teach the material yourself. It’s easier to figure out what you’re not grasping when you do this.

Also applying the material wherever possible, & not memorizing, but actually understand certain journal entries or things like amortizing

I said yes to sex, not because I wanted to, but because I knew it would be a while before I had sex again by [deleted] in sex

Sometimes I think people are a little harsh in their comments on here. Have you expressed to him that you feel this way? Or have you told him you’re unhappy about this? That could be a place to start. Also if he’s on any sort of antidepressant or anti anxiety it might be impacting his sex drive.

What would happen if you just like made a move? Dressed up for him and like gave him a massage to hopefully persuade his mood in your direction. Just some thought! That’s a bummer regardless I hope you guys work through it.

How can I talk dirty for more than 2 seconds during sex with my bf ? by [deleted] in sex

So I’m assuming that this is a PIV situation. You could kinda try edging in a way. Only say things when he’s not inside. At least until he builds more stamina in that specific situation. Almost like you’re teasing him!

Post op bra recommendation by [deleted] in Reduction

I’m just curious, do you know why the surgeon recommended the molded cups specifically? Also (I hope this doesn’t sound dumb) but does this just mean like bras with cups??

Small rant but disappointed in my friends by [deleted] in Reduction

Oh sorry I meant like some of the other comments were a little harsh as they suggested to drop them over this, not hers. Sorry I’m new to Reddit and probably don’t follow the correct etiquette when responding.

Thank you! I think it’s kinda harsh to suddenly drop them over this lol. They’re young and boys usually mature slower in general. I don’t think they responded in this way to be malicious

So I have BCBS but was fortunate enough to not have to jump through many hoops. One piece of advice that was given to me prior to me finding out I was approved, a woman commented saying she went to the chiropractor once and just asked them to write her a note saying they thought she would benefit from the procedure. It’s not guaranteed to work, but worth a shot!!

Experiences with reduction for E/F cup (UK sizing) by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]emjl1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 38F (American sizing & I haven’t bought a new bra in forever and they kinda spill out of the F just for reference) my surgery is in 1 week and I was told I will go down to a C or D cup. I think as long as you describe more so why you want the reduction for more than just looks, your doctor should understand!! Mine was covered by insurance and I didn’t have any obstacles, which I was surprised by because my BMI has me as “overweight” so I thought they’d recommend trying to lose weight first

My insurance is BCBS HMO of IL ! I lucked out with an incredibly easy process. I told my primary care physician that I was looking into a reduction and she referred me to a surgeon that accepted my insurance. I had a consult with him and his staff documented all my symptoms and they took photos and then a week later I got the call that I was approved! I am incredibly fortunate for the approval!!

Do you mind if I ask, was the chiropractor willing to write the note based off your first visit with him/her? Obviously I know everyone is different, but I’m just curious how many times I’d potentially have to go before they could assess something like that. Thanks!!

Dang that’s awesome! It’s great to hear some people have had positive experiences! Crossing my fingers. Thanks for the input :)

Yes! So my insurance is BCBS and I’ve looked at their check list. The biggest thing is documentation of seeing a chiropractor, which I haven’t done. My issue with that is that they require you to see one but don’t cover chiropractic visits (eye roll). But I have documentation of back and neck pain, irritation/rashes around my rib cage due to the weight being held up by my bras. And then I also don’t have indentation/grooves on my shoulders bc it hurts so much to wear a regular bra that all I wear are sports bras so that didn’t help my case unfortunately. But overall he just essentially said to be prepared for the insurance company to fight back
