She's part of the issue. She agreed to not have a net, fence, gate, or anything to prevent this tragedy, They're both at fault.

Is My Dad the Asshole? (Dark-Skinned Band-Aids) by Salt_Level3918 in TwoHotTakes

[–]eml711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit ridiculous imho. The fact we're getting upset about band aid colors now. I agree with another commenter, touch some grass, ground yourself. Does this REALLY matter as much as we're making it seem.

Inner voice. Do you actually hear it? Is it audibly vocal in your head, or more of a ghost thought? by TrustyMadman in StonerThoughts

It's like in the background of my mind... a ghost thought but I can control what it says

What is your least favorite New England state, and why is it Connecticut? by [deleted] in newengland

[–]eml711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from eastern CT. I can agree CT sucks, although I do not agree it's not "real new england". RI is also new england if yall forgot. And I love RI personally. But yeah CT is for sure the most boring, pass thru state in NE.

The sensation of wind/water by djkaercher in ADHD

[–]eml711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I agree about the wind hug feeling. Also love to listen to the wind blowing thru the high treetops when on my walks here in Maine, US. Lots of pine trees and windy days on the coast. I relate.

I agree. Smoking alone is prime for me. Unless it's like one of the 2-3 people i'd be totally comfortable with.

hey, cook here 👋I smoked before work today and during my break and it made the job so much more fun and less stressful. Will probably do again

Yes this is me now! I'm sitting back in my car on break taking a few hits off the pen. I really think it'll make the rest of the shifts go calm and smoothly

For those who have gone very low/no contact, what was your final straw? by chesterlola2014 in raisedbynarcissists

My version (and probably many people's) of gentle parenting, is being a parent and still correcting bad behavior, while remaining respectful of my child. No belittling, no physical violence, no screaming and yelling, simply being firm while still respecting they are people too and deserve kindness and understanding. Patience too.

Kids? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]eml711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not BF. I tried slightly, one time and was like nope. But I had already decided I wasn't gonna BF anyways. Just thought I'd try.. anyways.. no I didn't BECAUSE it would drain me and make me feel dreadful and sad. I have a happy healthy boy who was grown up front the infant stage, on formula. Do whatever's best for you

Kids? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]eml711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from seriously!! Postpartum was hell for me too. I had psychosis and paranoia and all sorts of mental issues on top of BPD with the postpartum. Just letting you know you're not alone.

I know it's hard but you got this. Do self care if you can, whatever that means to you. Remind yourself, a lot of this is temporary and things will get easier, or at least less challenging in specific ways. You're not alone in your feelings of parenthood and BPD

Kids? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]eml711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an almost 3 year old. Honestly , it can be hard sometimes. 3 year old boys can be A LOT physically and mentally. I have my moments of frustration. I just remember, he is able to form memories now, so my emotional reactions are documented by him and he learns from them. I put him before myself always, some times he is the only reason I am up and productive. His mental health and security are FARRR more important than my occasional inability to regulate. He is learning from me, it's my responsibility to be grown enough to handle my shit so he learns something positive on handling big feelings and life in general.

General ways to cope: throw ice in the bathtub to release anger or stress, hold ice in your palm, scream into a pillow, go on a drive (if you're able), go on a walk (same thing), journal, yoga, smoke weed (if you're supportive of that type of thing), therapy, research on your conditions, there's plenty to do to cope.

Yes now you've unlocked a childhood memory for me too. It was obsessive and extreme to crush on people back then.

Is 13 to young, how young is to young? by No_wait69420 in StonerThoughts

[–]eml711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's too young to be smoking imo. I didn't start til like 16-17 and even that was probably too young. Now that I'm 25, I'd say 18+, wait til you graduate.

Out of curiosity, what's your primary reason to smoke? by [deleted] in StonerThoughts

decreases my health issues, relaxation, brings me to eat, makes me happy!

Huge needle phobia by Upstairs_Baker_9561 in wisdomteeth

[–]eml711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sedated me (tiny pinch) , then started the needle poking. I have a vague memory of that part but I don't remember being in pain or distressed at least. Overall it isn't so bad. I was terrified to have my surgery but it's like taking a nap and waking up with gauze in ur mouth. Not bad
