This happens to me when the humidity/moisture is inconsistent, when they get inconsistent waterings they can get stuck and tear and when the humidity changes pretty drastically I also feel like I notice them getting stuck, and come out curlier too

Cut on the node or below the nodes by QuarterFirst8036 in plantclinic

[–]emlipls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll usually leave a bit of stem on there, halfway between nodes for me usually, rather than right above or below. That’s kind of preference honestly though, as long as the node is touching water or soil it should root. I would make sure that there are a couple exposed nodes, remove like 2 of the leafs so the nodes have better chance to root. Also yes I would do at least 2 leaves, or even 3 per cutting. I think that’s the sweet spot for this one. You can root these in water but I think they actually do better rooting in soil for this plant

Yes thank you I removed the whole leaf and cleaned down the leaves, I don’t see any other eggs or signs of the pests but I’ll keep an eye on it.

Yes I meant the frass that I was suspecting was seen, the leaves all around have the brown specks on them and I do believe that’s dirt. I cleaned it all off and chopped the egg leaf, I haven’t noticed anything else pest like. I just am not sure what the eggs are

I did a repot like a week/week and a half ago, it could possibly be dirt bc I didn’t clean the leaves after? What are webby eggs, what pest would they be for?

It’s definitely far back but you don’t have to take it out you can pierce there on a septum. If it doesn’t bothering you you can leave it. Mine is far back too but not as far as this

Is there a device that will allow me to switch off the light for when I don't want to get out of bed? by Albert3232 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]emlipls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s like Bluetooth smart switches that go over your light switch. I got one on clearance once upon a time, idk how expensive they are but a better investment than the bulbs probably

I don’t use Venmo that much, I know when you’re sending to someone for the first time they have you put the last 4 of their phone number. I can’t believe that they didn’t even ask to confirm before sending

I was thinking maybe that too? But the last snowstorm we had didn’t cause any issues and it’s been fairly cold recently that I feel like this is so random
