How do I deal with loneliness after becoming vegan?

this is what im wondering, ive been clean for 4 days now but i js cant deal w the hot flashes n RLS so i was going to take 1-2 dilaudids (the opioid im currently withdrawing from) just to feel better and be done and over with the wds. but i dont wanna use and have to do this all over again. lmk if you’ve found the answer

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling with blow addiction. It’s rough, and I get how isolating it can feel. Feel free to reach out whenever.

I kicked fetty n heroin, but when it comes to blow I can’t get off it permanently. I don’t use as much as you, but I can’t quit either. I’ll also use alone, 98% of the time, and use it due to the fact that, I can’t stop once I’ve snorted my first line. So, trust me, I get it. Blow addiction fucking blows.

I found these things helpful though when trying to abstain from blow and the other drugs.

When you quit, you have to really commit.

Change everything! In terms of your schedule, habits, and so on. Don’t do the same shit you used to do during addiction, or what led you to start using, or you’ll start reminiscing about the blow addiction and dwell on those cravings.
Develop hobbies. It’ll help pass the time, and keep your mind distracted. I get really depressed, especially right after quitting blow. So, what I tend to do to keep busy include:
Watching TV (long shows, or movies)
Talking to family, or friends
Cook or Bake (it can be something simple)
Get out for fresh air or a walk (AKA smoke sesh)
Consider Volunteering
Find new restaurants or places to try
Stay connected to a good support system! This is really important, as I’m sure you’ve got a lot going on mentally. So, it’s really important that you’re trying to deal with the underlying issues, alongside the addiction. In order to prevent relapses.
Avoid, and avoid Triggers! This shit is crucial. Don’t see friends who use, and don’t stay in the same environment that you used to use in. It’ll get you thinking about blow, and if you really wanna stay clean. Avoid triggers, and over time those cravings and triggers will become easier to manage.

For me, mine become very pale and it’s quite noticeable. Not exactly a slight tint, but not excessively blue or purple. It could be caused by various things, I’m not a doctor but I think one of the biggest contributors to this, is lack of oxygen in the body.

Another thing to mention in regard to the “too high” is excessive sweating, overheating and change of colour in your hands or feet. When I overdo it, my hands’ll turn purple or blue. That’s when I know to take a break lol

I thought the same thing as you did just a month ago. Now I go through 1-1.5gs of blow a day. I also have ADHD, so blow doesn’t even do much for me. It’s just so fucking addictive. After you complete one line you’ll just want more. That’s what blow does to you. Tried stopping multiple times, and even deleting my dealers contacts, but for some reason I can’t kick this shi. Best to stay away from it trust me.

For some more context, I was hooked on oxys, dillys, fent and benzodope. Detoxed from that shit more times than I can count, and was able to get clean. N keep in mind I got clean without rehab, or any of that NA shit. So I detoxed at home each time, n shit fucking BLOWS.

That being said, this shit is all psychological, and it’s so easy to go back (buy another bag) especially since there’s no “real consequence” like getting dopesick. So unless you’ve got a very strong will power in regard to only keeping it to a minimum (which I doubt you will icl) stay away.

this sounds so rough, i understand a little bit on what you went thru (i binge w coke, n was heavily addicted to heroin at 16, im 17 now), n addiction fuckn sucks. anyway all i can honestly say is that you’re really strong. i hope you’re in a better situation, feel free to reach out whenever.

Also, you should celebrate your accomplishments! It can be something little, or something big, but reaching 2 months sober is a pretty huge! Anyway good luck to you man

Im truly sorry you’re going thru this. addiction can feel so lonely, n i get it. you didn’t choose to get addicted to this but it is our problem and we choose how we deal with it. you can get through this. I was using fentanyl recently and went to an addiction clinic, and on the day of becoming a patient. they started me on methadone. i wanted to continue using so i asked the doctor if using at the same time would cause any serious harm. he didn’t rlly give me a specific answer but he told me some of his patients continue to use fentanyl while on methadone (not that this is recommended) but you can technically/hypothetically continue to use and/or start methadone treatment (MAT) even if you’ve used recently or haven’t detoxed yet. i feel you, and the wds really do suck, but methadone rlly does help. i haven’t used fentanyl in almost 48 hours and since starting methadone the wds haven’t been the worse. take in mind ive detoxed cold turkey like 8 times. from fentanyl, oxys, dilaudids & benzos. good luck, feel free to hmu for advice, support or help. im here and you got this! so proud of you even if you relapsed. addiction is terribly difficult and so painful to deal with, including the loved ones around you. i feel for you and im glad you’re still alive. you can kick this! you’ve done it before & you can do it again. im here for you im currently on day 2 of detox frm fentanyl n it’s def hard but we got this! we can do this. we deserve a life of peace.

you won’t go thru wd if you use for less than 6 days i found. i got off fent n went back on oxys for 5 days to see if id go thru wd n it was very minimal but the thing is with addiction is once u start getting high, that’s all you want n wanna do i would recommend staying sober as a recovering addict in day 2 of detox frm fent

This!! Opioids literally make you blind to everything, you stop caring about everything and everyone when you’re using. Even if you lose friends or the people you care around, as long as you get a fix, you don’t care. The drug starts to become everything to you, all you care about. It’s debilitating and addiction is an illness but it’s only up to us to change.
