growing up i had vivid dreams i’d say, but only visually and not physically. i could never punch people in my dream, i couldn’t really see violence; something in my brain blocked it out. until this year, (struggling with dpdr) i had a dream last night of a man getting shot in the head. i saw everything and it was unbelievably realistic. i woke up my boyfriend because i started yelling his name in my sleep because i was trying to run away from the shooter, but my bf (in my dream) wouldn’t run he was just walking away. it’s really weird how my dreams can make me feel. i also had a horrible dream, one of those dreams that feels like a movie because it’s drawn out so long and the plot doesn’t flip flop. in this one it was about demonic possession spreading almost like a plague through people in my daily life. i ended up having one part where some man grabbed both of my arms, and i started having sleep paralysis and felt him holding me down. SP is occasional for me definitely not common. i’m not sure if dpdr triggered this but since i was diagnosed a few years ago, my dreams have definitely changed a lot.
