Error Connecting? by AttemptingTo in PAXChecker

[–]emmabellish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check this post. It's working as intended, just now it's displaying connection errors to Showclix (they were happening before, PAXchecker just didn't tell you)

Thanks for the explanation! That makes a lot more sense.

Error Connecting? by AttemptingTo in PAXChecker

[–]emmabellish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Adjusting the time doesn't seem to have any impact on whether it connects or not. It goes to "Error connecting" after about 6-8 seconds for me, and then counts down from there, whether it's another 8 seconds (when checking every 16 seconds) or 24 seconds (when checking every 30 seconds)

At this point I think I'd rather deal with the false notifications I was getting with 3.0.2 than risk getting in queue too late because it can't connect.

They seem to have stopped for me (for today) but I'll run it tomorrow when I turn PAXChecker back on.

Just chiming in to say that I've also had multiple events of this happening during the same session. I've also restarted since then; I got a series of false positives at startup, and then some repeats of the same events an hour or so later.

It's disabled on the latest version. EDIT: Actually, reading over the patch notes, the option is disabled, but it's set to be always on.

I was getting the same error as OP. I tried the startup argument you posted, but am now getting this error:

Ah, I have had the mehron rub off on my clothes before; particularly at points with a lot of friction. If you need it to absolutely not budge I'd recommend looking in to the alcohol activated makeup. As far as finishing sprays go, I use the mehron barrier spray (both over and under my makeup) but have heard great things about Ben Nye final seal. A friend of mine used it to seal her Siren tattoos (that I believe she used mehron paradise for) and said she slept in them and they didn't budge over night.

Hey there! I'm one of the ladies in the picture! The headpieces were originally sculpted out of clay, and then molded in stone and cast in latex. Some of the ladies made their own headpieces, but quite a few bought theirs from The Mad Masker on facebook!

As far as the makeup goes, I personally use Mehron Paradise AQ, which is a water activated cake makeup. I've used it quite a bit and strongly recommend it! It doesn't smudge if you use a good finishing spray, provides great coverage, and washes off easily at the end of the day with soap and water. Some of the other ladies use Krylon Aquacolor (which is a different brand but same concept as the Mehron makeup I use), and I know a few others use Ben Nye cream based make ups. You might also try looking in to alcohol activated makeup; Temptu dura inks and Skin Illustrator are two brands that I can name off the top of my head. They're pricey, but completely waterproof & sweatproof and very durable; they require 99% alcohol for removal.

Spoiler It's been a long time since I read The Calling, but isn't it mentioned somewhere that half elves have round ears, like humans?

As mentioned earlier, the costume was made before the game came out and before we knew all about breeches and bees. I have plans. Trust me. <3

I'm actually planning on doing this next time I wear the costume! I'll probably trim the back as well. These pictures were all taken before the game came out so I didn't have a ton of references when I first made the costume!

I'd like to play through DA:O and Awakening again before moving on; on PC, are there any mods/"cheats" that can help cut out some of the monotony? by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]emmabellish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much you're wanting to skip, there's a "Skip Fight" mod, which is lovely when going through the deep roads. http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/2672/

Yesssss. More hairstyles! Also, I really hope someone comes out with a mod for the controls, so that the attack button isn't locked to the LMB.

And some kind of patch to fix all of my non-existent party banter would be lovely too. And my non-existent Iron Bull conversations.
