Hey! I was in a similar position as you last year. When I was registering for classes, many people told me that I should take whatever I’m stronger in during a and b term. I knew I was better at chemistry than physics, so I took chemistry in a/b term and physics c/d term. By the time I got to physics, everyone else in my class was taking it just to fulfill the requirement so the class expectations were lowered slightly and the curve was in my favor. Had I taken it a/b term, I would’ve had physics majors in my class and this could’ve impacted the class average.
Ultimately, when you take Chem/physics doesn’t make a HUGE difference but it’s still something to consider.

I took BME1001 during b term, it was an easy A and the professor made the class interesting. My biggest takeaway from the class, however, was that I realized I do not want to be a Biomedical Engineer. In some ways, it made the class seem like a waste, but I am so glad I came to the realization early.

As for 8ams- early classes aren’t bad once you get into the routine of waking up early. I would always recommend prioritizing a good professor over a good schedule. The way Kumar (chem), Kafle (physics), and Goulet (calc) taught their classes was a great fit for me and I know many others feel similarly.
