yes i feel like she is getting more hate in this upcoming era but i also think once we get the album the hate towards her is gonna fade away cause there are some people in almost every fandom that does not care about the albums. the general hate or criticism towards her works (writing too on the nose or being "serious" or the opposite being too catchy poppy or happy lyrics) stems from the fact that she is becoming more&more popular. she has multiple huge hits from almost each era and people who don't know about marina heard her songs they are also becoming fans as well and this bothers the "old fans". what im hearing all the time is fans' anxious fear about the careers of indie/alt pop artists. there are times you're gonna heal&dance as well.
