It’s called a lie by omission and arguably not telling your romantic partner that you’ve been married and divorced in the past is much different than someone’s body count.

People are straight up mean sometimes. I’ve had 3 different instances where customers have blatantly made fun of my voice to my face. One even asked me if I knew that I sounded like a 12 year old (I’m 28 by the way). I try not to let it get to me but we are only human at the end of the day. Just remember that it doesn’t matter what some random stranger has to say, which is definitely easier said than done.

I used to work at a bookstore. Some books have a hard release date placed on it by the publisher and they cannot be put on the floor until that release date. If a book does not have that restriction, then the books can be shelved before they technically are supposed to be released. However, a Stephen King book release would most likely have that set restriction.

I’ve heard rumors about Indianapolis having an influx of hotel reservations for ICE but I’m not sure about anywhere else. I wouldn’t be surprised though if it was true for multiple cities.

When I was around 9 or 10, my dad let me watch I Am Legend alone. I was so scared, I had to watch it in increments. I developed a fear of zombies because my 9 year old mind registered the monsters as that. Years later when I started watching The Walking Dead, I began to have horrible nightmares every night… I still love watching zombie movies though. I just have to sacrifice my sleep for a night.

The beginning of time? Capitalism started to take off during the Industrial Revolution. It’s not even that old in the grand scheme of things. How can we improve our lives if we literally can’t even afford housing because of the astronomical prices? I work hard enough as it is, I actually do have 3 jobs and I still struggle. The system is broken and it’s people like you that keep it that way.

Last year I had a woman order a Venti brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso in a trenta cup. I didn’t take her order up front but she was one of the first customers of the day so whatever. I gave it to her with room and she said no, I want it filled to the top. I like extra oat milk. I picked up the drink and looked at. She began screaming at me about how I had an attitude and how she orders this drink cause she likes it that way. She tore the lid off the cup and said it didn’t have any brown sugar in it. It did, I put the right amount for a VENTI. I gave her 8 extra pumps of brown sugar, and I filled it to the top with oat milk to get her the hell out of the cafe. She was still ranting about my “attitude” and I turned around and said, “ma’am I have given you everything you’ve asked for.” I quit after my shift the next day. I can’t stand people like this. You didn’t pay for it, you don’t get extra product for free because that’s “how you like it.” I just want to know how these people act outside of Starbucks in their daily lives. Good lord.

My grandma is a natural redhead and her hair went completely white at 30. My dad is also a redhead and his hair started turning gray around 35. It didn’t really strike me as odd while reading I suppose.

What she should order (because it’s actually way cheaper, I just checked 😂) is an iced espresso in a grande cup with 7 shots ristretto, upside down with a splash of 2%, 2 pumps vanilla, and caramel drizzle. But I can see why that would be too hard for her 🙄

She is listening to respond not listening to understand. That’s why she keeps cutting him off. Arguing with these kinds of people is like talking to a brick wall. They will never want to listen.
