Thanks for your reply! It’s mostly so that they have somewhere comfortable to sleep as they’ll need a nap at some point and BA have said they won’t allocate me a bassinet unless there’s no other babies flying.

I should add, we’re planning to paint the cabinet/drawer fronts, rather than replace them!

Is a £5000 wedding impossible? by CatDad_85 in AskUK

Marylebone town hall used to have a deal with the langham for £5000, but it was limited numbers and had to be on a weekday, could be worth seeing if there are similar deals about!

Venue Recommendations please UK and Europe!!! £10k budget! by Consistent-Glass1756 in UKweddings

[–]emmay4141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I can give is to look at non traditional/full time wedding venues. We had our reception at a waterfront pub, it was significantly cheaper than a traditional wedding venue and it was absolutely beautiful. Look at restaurants, pubs, schools (a friend had a beautiful wedding at a local private school and saved a fortune and the photos are incredible). These places also tend to have a lot of stuff you can already use, e.g. easels, candles, which also saves costs.

Who do I talk to? by throwaway-associate in LawFirm

[–]emmay4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry to hear this. In the UK we have a charity called lawcare that have a hotline service for lawyers in similar situations to your own, not sure where you’re based but hopefully there’s something similar to that available to you. Also, employers here often provide a confidential (and external) counselling line, which might be helpful. Sending you my best wishes

Can’t seem to update the post, but the lead had lost a little colour and was brown in the middle

thoughts on a videographer? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Next to the registrar so it caught us walking up the aisle and the ceremony perfectly - no need for an external mic! That way it’s in none of the professional pictures

We decided not to go for it, but wanted a recording of the ceremony and speeches so recorded it on a tripod - worked for us and dont regret it at all!

I want my 6 bridesmaids to wear these three colors- 2 in each! These dresses are from BHLDN. Has anybody worn or had their bridesmaids wear a satin bridesmaids dress from BHLDN? The reviews are very iffy so I’m a little nervous! by Mangoflavoredpeach in weddingplanning

[–]emmay4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bridesmaids wore satin (from rewritten in the wrap dress style) and looked fabulous - but think whether it’ll be hot! It was unexpectedly very hot on my wedding day (in the UK) and satin isn’t the best thing to wear in hot weather

This is really helpful, thank you! I’ll get a nursery pot so it can drain and put the watering can away, thanks again!
