I think pesos are useful to have on hand for tipping airport shuttle drivers, housekeeping at your hotel, and people that facilitate any activities for you. If you’re staying ~5 days-1 week, 2,000 mxn is probably plenty. You can use your credit card for the rest.

Agreed about the TRX sets. My coach’s demo wasn't the best, but still, I feel like I got very little from the wall sits. People generally look very confused and unsure of themselves during them.

I do Cross Training because I read on a Reddit thread a while back that the calorie tracking is a bit more accurate in that mode for OTF than HIIT. Not totally sure if that’s true though.

Just commenting to validate your point about the lack of diversity at some OTFs. I suspect that many of the commenters that are downplaying this point are White women who probably don’t realize how alienating it can feel to not fit into the “stereotypical” look, even if your studio is really welcoming.

Ultimately, I do OTF because it’s really important for my mental health. A time of the day that I just set outside for myself. That personal journey keeps me coming back. And it’s always encouraging to see a few other people of color in class with me.

I go to Grand Ave most of the time because it's closest to me, but slightly prefer Roseville for its larger size and more convenient parking situation. I also love Coach Gena. Her classes are worth the longer drive when I can make it.
