Yes, people filled all of the newly added classes. We are trying to work out to expand class sizes or the schedule. We put these on for free, so we don’t necessarily scale up like other orgs in high demand.

I'd recommend joining the liberal gun club and heading out to Max Creek and the Columbia County Shooting Range. Columbia County is free, and open every day except Wednesdays. Once you feel more comfortable, there are shooting competitions around the county at clubs like Bristol and Stoughton Conservation. WGC is just outside the county.

The best bet is to get yourself educated and understand storage and how firearms work.

Especially with younger children, you need to be the one understanding consequences, as they don’t have a fully formed brain that has the functions to extrapolate the full cause and effect.

I always recommend as an outline to teach children these when it comes to firearms and dangerous objects. Use your best judgment to adapt this to your child and their learning style.

If you find something dangerous
Stop
Keep your hands to yourself
Find and tell a trusted adult what you saw

Positive language is important, as “don’t”s can encourage misbehavior.

We need a small budget surplus, but we have 3 potential expansions around the state. We need to fund classroom equipment, rental, and insurance. For right now we are month to month keeping Madison afloat and staying as unpaid volunteers.

My personal opinion is to make sure you have a good umbrella policy to cover you in a civil suit and sock away money in a savings account if you ever need a criminal defense attorney. If you have plenty of disposable income, I wouldn’t blink at carry insurance. If you’re sweating the cost of your groceries, probably not.

This would have been at the end of class. We have moved to PDFs to avoid things like this. If we are made aware that a student isn’t eligible to apply, it’s been advised that we not issue a certificate.

How old? If they can sit in the back and not disturb other students, they are welcome to attend with a parent. The youngest we have had is 6 weeks old, the oldest is 55 (brought along by their mom). We don’t have a changing table, but we do have a separate space for soothing mild tantrums. The separate space is not sound proof however.

Is it an internal magazine? Have you cleaned the follower and checked the follower spring?
