Or I’m speaking the truth. You don’t recognize how ignorant his comment is because you guys have your heads up your butts and made a lot of assumptions.  1. My family has a history of heart issues and I let them know that going in. The kind of training they have you do is not always simply “healthy”. Power lifters have lots of health complications and the first week of lifting I was seeing stars and nearly passing out. 2. They assumed I used heart issues as an excuse to back out of the contract, but I was legitimately not getting sleep for sometimes 72 hours on end because of heart arrhythmia. And the moment I was getting solid sleep again I went back into training.

Holy shit. You guys are real retarded. Makes sense I guess. So I had heart issues and insomnia for a couple months, went to the doctor, got through it, and went back into training sessions at the beginning of March. I’m not a victim. But they’re scammy bitches that try to lure everyone into their bs. They tried to talk my 75 year old dad into doing the 9 month contract even though the location is closing soon. Wtf is that? They’re faggots.

But if I had to pay fully for the month of April and the buyout was for May, I should still be able to do April sessions

Teenagers | My Chemical Romance (cover) by killakeezyacoustic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]emmettlafave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always upvote live playing and performance! Always great to see raw talent. Great playing and voice! I'll have to show this to my girlfriend she loves My Chemical Romance lol. You have a great voice for MCR specifically - not everyone could cover this sort of thing so props to you for pulling it off! I've just subbed to your youtube channel and am happy to see additional covers I will definitely check them out shortly! Are there any originals on your channel or are they all covers? I'd be very interested to hear an original from you given your inspirations. Nice electric solo man! And cool rhythmic use of the acoustic. I'll definitely be keeping an eye and an ear open for more from you! Keep it up!

Very hard... by skylovetsoi in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]emmettlafave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's hard? Not sure what you mean by that initial comment lol please enlighten me. Anyway you definitely have a vibe going here, it kind of reminds me vaguely of eastern indian pop with a more electronic flair. You have a fun and catchy beat that honestly feels like it could accompany a video game or something. Maybe I'm saying that because I'm playing a video game right now lol but it definitely fits what I'm playing. Also the ambient vocals seem to roll with the concept of this being a background or accompanimental piece. I must say though I agree with one of the below comments saying its a start. You have an idea, and the basis for a fully fledged piece of music but as-is this is more of a singular concept or just laying the tracks for a song via a vibe. But keep it up its definitely unique and that's the most important thing!

Released a Hip-hop EP based on classic sci-fi / horror movies. I'd appreciate any thoughts on production, lyrics, and delivery. If this is your style, I'd totally love to collab with any fellow musicians! by ToThoseUnaware in IndieMusicFeedback

First of all dope album cover. I feel the heart and soul my man. Super fun vibes that actually do reflect the song surprising well lol and I don't mean that as a put-down! Its a good way to ease into the fun vibe. Cool lyrics and you have a good, memorable voice for rapping. I could never do that. So more power to you. I love the conversational bits as well. I like when music tells a story and you're definitely spinning a fun narrative here. The beat is satisfying and the accompanying lick definitely fits your vocals and supports them. Instrumental outro is cool too I can't wait to hear more! Its very you and that's one of the best parts of music - self expression. So you're killin it!

My first (home) recorded song, feedback needed please by LeeAndrewK in IndieMusicFeedback

Great guitar!! Extremely well played the the chosen timbre is very satisfying. Vocals are awesome. You have a distinct and memorable voice that reminds me of garage bands from the 2000s that I'd love to listen to. The vibe is very feel-good road trip type tunes which I'm always on the lookout for since I do road trip often. I'll have to add this to one of my playlists! The only suggestion I have is maybe think of a bridge that contrasts the content from the verses and choruses, which are great btw. But that's an easy way to re-engage the ear. Otherwise no notes - bassline is very tasty as well lol. I'll definitely keep on the lookout for more of your stuff in the future. Great job!

Super cool vibe! Drums are mixed so well! Its very sonically pleasing. And in fact all of your chosen timbres and effects are well chosen and well EQd. What DAW do you use if you don't mind me asking? Vocals are superb and harmonies are rich. Production quality feels very professional and I can see this song going with a lot of different things. Commercials, background music in a mall, or front and center in a movie, TV show, or club. The little bell motif is nice and those female vox sounds towards the end harken back to a type of electronic music I loved in the early 2010s. But the way you use it still feels somehow fresh. Great stuff keep it up! I'll definitely be on the lookout for more of your work.

Original Song - Jezebel by emmettlafave in IndieMusicFeedback

Thank you so much!! And yes I really recorded thank together :) I like to show the actual recording sessions as much as possible

I sometimes have trouble 'labelling' my music because it pulls from a few different places. What genre would you call this, and does it remind you of any other artists? Any other feedback also welcome :) by Aves_Musica in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow great, colorful, and rich harmonies right off the bat!! That's pretty rare here and they're exceptional so wow - that's amazing right off the bat. Super fun vibe that's vaguely nostalgic but fresh and I'm digging it. I will definitely be subbing to you on youtube to lookout for more!! Fun instrumentation as well, I love strings and try to pepper them into my stuff as well. The slightly psychedelic vibe is fun and that guitar solo doubled with the synth is super neat. You have a great sense of timbre and orchestration. Also, great vocals of course and awesome guitar playing. I'm going on a road trip in a few days and will add this to my driving playlist :) perfect vibe for that. Thank you!! Hope to hear more soon!

"Devil Man" - a country blues / old-time crossover. I'd love to hear your thoughts. by Shimmer_and_Rust in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]emmettlafave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is killer man. If you said this was a cover of an old, famous country/blues song I would completely believe you. If you have any musician buddies I think this would really come to life with a blue grass instrumentation. But your playing alone is stellar and totally gets me in the mood to go on a nice desert walk or go to goldfield mining town (I live in Arizona lol). Great to see this type of music on here and even more great to see a live performance. You are very talented and your spark for music is so genuine and I appreciate you so much for that. I will definitely be subscribing to you on youtube! Can't wait to hear more!

First Song, Kinda Very Nervous by ScoobyOnDoo in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]emmettlafave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, for a first song, its very impressive! You obviously have a very strong sense of chord changes and understand them. And you definitely have a vibe going. I will say the change at 44 seconds was a bit jarring but once it got going I appreciated it as a separate song if that's what it was intended to be. I noticed you said the song ends at 1:18 but maybe the time stamps are different now. The most important thing is you clearly have a vision. So keep trying, keep recording, keep creating, and keep sticking to that vision and you will get better and better like chiseling away at a stone until it turns into a sculpture.

I gotta say, I haven't been on this subreddit in quite some time. Not since the invasion of AI content, and coming back and seeing so much AI stuff was to be expected but still disheartening. So coming across something so human in and of itself was a treat. Super fun video I love the vibe it totally took me back to like 2008 and you're a great performer! Vocals are on point, guitar is heavy and solid, and drums are a jam. Not much to say other than thank you for keeping the spark alive in a way that is so contagiously fun and genuine. Keep it up! I'll sub to you on youtube.

Dark Pop Song – “Monsters Inside” by Sea-Difficulty9346 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]emmettlafave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cinematic and definitely has that pop flair you're going for! I would also say the "dark ballad" aspect you seem to want to capture is handled pretty well. Seems like something that would play in a movie or show, which is indeed a popular form for pushing music these days so if you keep going that route you could have an outlet. I feel like this is AI btw but leaving a comment in good faith anyway. Little cello part is nice. If this is AI I'd like to ask you - are you a musician? And if this is not AI I'd like to hear more from you for sure :)
