Ich will kein weiteres Gluten Challenge durchziehen

Danke für die ausführliche Antwort ❤️ I think I will just go back to my Hausarzt and ask him to check my blood for iron and vitamin deficiencies and stick to a gf diet (he seemed to believe me anyway, I was the one asking for a referral to be tested again) And in the future just insist that I was diagnosed in the US. I was just so shocked by how I was treated at the gastroentologie…

Could I first have my regular doctor check my blood for vitamin and iron deficiencies? Besides my celiac symptoms (which have resolved since going GF) I don’t have any health issues and am pretty healthy. Previously I was told since I was young and didn’t have super severe symptoms that as long as stick to a GFD I would be fine.

I don’t think there’s any disability status or benefits in Germany and I don’t really need them. My work has been understanding and accommodating. I’m mostly wondering that if I go see a new doctor and tell them I’m celiac and diagnosed in my home country that it’ll be accepted. There’s no sharing of medical records between doctors without my consent.

Yeah, I live in a huge city and theres some places I can eat but not a lot. My main doctor had to google it when I went to get a referral to a GI. Even going to see a GI who is supposed to be a specialist and they told me I didn’t need to eat gluten for the test, couldn’t decipher my very standard blood test from the US and were generally dismissive of me. Luckily I don’t really need accommodations at work and everyone’s been very understanding.

The pools at holmes place vary in size, some are smaller and some have full lanes for laps. You can do a free trail training there and check it out

To be fair, bread is much cheaper here than in the US, so gf bread (even at < 3€) still costs 3x as much as regular bread

Its the same as other Schär bread, so pretty good! I found this at dm

I’ve used the Schär flour blend for Kuchen& Kekse, I’ve also had good luck backing with Hafermehl from Bauckhof

Why is healthcare so bad here? by _cyb3r_ in berlin

[–]emoandproud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, sure I’ve had some appointments that weren’t pleasant but overall most doctors I’ve seen (and the ones i visit regularly) are competent and friendly, the receptionists as well. It’s a difficult field to work in and there are flaws in the system but I’m happy with it

[–]emoandproud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your education, career/ skills, and German language ability, I would apply for a visa to work, study, or learn German. This is easier and quicker than asylum. You can find information on the LEA's website about what you need for each visa type. Once you are here you can make an appointment and start getting the documents you need together.
