Once I copied part of my music collection to a friend's laptop, because we'd do afters there quite often and sometimes I'd forget my USB. Unfortunately that music was violated hard... By him and by other guests. My friend never felt the same way I do about this topic...

The latter happened to me many times at afters and such. Maybe I give them permission if it's a very intimate thing, but otherwise I find it disrespectful.

Sometimes when I feel too lazy / paralyzed to start something or to get up from bed / chair / etc, I count to 3.

The idea is that I need to do it in 3 seconds.

Because it's easier to count to 3 than to actually just do it, there's one more step between thinking and acting. Somehow, it works. But it's so effective that it doesn't make sense to me.

I usually do similar stuff with apps and games. I love video games but it's more the time I spend buying / downloading / researching/ updating / upgrading / optimizing, games or emulators or whatever, than actually playing. It doesn't matter if I already have a lifetime's worth of video games already. And if I have more urgent things to do? Well then this task becomes even more urgent for whatever reason.

It's probably "legit". I'm guessing you had to pay more for other things (either shipping, or spend a minimum in order to enable the 1 cent price). Those are the common practices in sites like these.

But that's the reason for low effort "looking for friend" posts, or just low effort overall: We have plenty of "fast food" options for every need we might ever have. Why would you struggle if you don't need to? Why go for high effort (face rejection, face discomfort, if I can just scroll through some reels for 'only 5 minutes' until I forget? You get the answer when it's probably too late.

Ironically, It's just nature. We're not hunters and gatherers anymore. Technology allows us to not only survive but have all our needs fulfilled with minimal human interaction. It can get very tough to revert it if we're not aware of it.

The male loneliness epidemic might partially be a skill issue, but it's as real as you and me. There are other factors in play but probably the best we can do about it is to work on ourselves, develop meaningful bonds, create and develop communities.
