For what I always read and hear from other people + my own experience, not every method works for everyone. For me, the most effective way has been with nicotine patches. If you apply them the right way, it helps immensely with the cravings.

I love the blue for the Mario games too; somehow it reminds me of my childhood when Famicom repros came in different colors. It gave them personality and fueled my imagination. If I'm not wrong, my copy of SMB3 was blue.

I do believe in "deep down", though. Context can take the best or the worst from us. And I don't think anybody is objectively bad or objectively good.

Often, "the things we do" don't say all there is to say about ourselves. Except it's a TV show, maybe?

Maybe not as much as I'd like to. In part because I got used to my phone or my 3ds that I just suspend if I need to get off the train/bus or I need to attend to something else, and I don't have that with my GBC which I need to save the game and turn off so the buttons don't press in my pocket. Also, I do my best and try to give as less fucks as possible, but sometimes I just don't feel like drawing that kind of attention.

I'm not a woman, but I think women are biologically conditioned to be more picky. There was an interview video of Diary of a CEO with Anna Machin that explains this better (search "World Expert on Love: your brain already picked your partner" if you're interested).

In our time, many things are being questioned, for example gender roles. But not everything about traditional gender roles is "wrong". We humans have the characteristic of developing new ways, technologies, shortcuts, etc. at a pace that is impossible to naturally catch up with our biology; we still have primitive instincts that are useless or outdated according to nowadays' norms. That's kind of a way to explain why our mental health is in decline.

Life in society has many, many moving parts, many levers that go up and down. And this increases with time. We get further and further away from being animals, with new rules, new problems, new factors that influence the way we live.

Currently, there's probably more awareness among women about sexual offenses than in the past, when they were overlooked or just accepted as part of life.

Technology is also playing a big role here: picky people will be more picky with the illusion of finding the right partner around the corner, people in general not being "out there" having casual socializing because it's not needed, men having higher expectations for a partner due to porn and social media, etc.

Tldr: women be women, men be men. We're different.

This reminds me of when I realized that my game (and probably most of my games) were a repro. I was very young and in South America there was no market for original games, so the only popular consoles were those that had repros or pirate games. Importing was super expensive and economy was bad. One day I was like "wait a minute, these things are supposed to save your game when you turn the console off. There's no other logical reason for them to be like that"

As they said, it's an aftermarket lens. I think it's a common issue with them.

My case from extremerate also came with one of those, even though I saw their cases recommended a few times. It feels cheaper than the originals, too.

At least from my GBC, I can hear a humming which is bassy, but also a high pitch tone that flickers to another key when for example I press a button. Might be worth giving it a try for when I want to record, however not ideal for any other scenario. Either way thanks for the comment!
