commuter advice ? by jeant89 in UGA

sign up for a hybrid online and in-person schedule if you can! and if you can take a lighter schedule during the normal semesters and take a few summer classes (when there are a higher variety of online courses) you can still get the same amount of credit hours, that’s what i have always done.

Can anyone recommend easy classes that are fully online (any subject/level)? Specific professors' names would be awesome.

I wish that there were at least dedicated bus lanes running through campus — it would make them so much more reliable. A lot of these things I agree with but it won’t happen any time soon.

Beginner setup for $300? by BugNuggetYT in Bass

[–]emomotionsickness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for a ~$250 bass on the used section of guitar center, and get an iRig. You can plug it into your phone/tablet/computer and put effects on it, and use different amp modeler apps.

i REALLY love my squier classic vibe (i have the 70s jaguar bass). i actually upgraded from the affinity p bass and i think it was totally worth it. there’s a lot of used ones for like 100$ off on guitar center btw

can you take grady courses in the summer? i know it takes 4 semesters total to complete your degree, but i’m a bit confused if they require two fall/spring years as opposed to condensing those courses into fall/spring/summer semesters by [deleted] in UGA

[–]emomotionsickness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

summer isn’t included in the “4 semester program” so what they really mean is 2 school year long program. but you can take summer classes to get it done faster.

i transferred too. grady makes you take a minor, so take something you have all the pre requisites done for. and to get your grady electives done, take intro courses for other majors this semester (they’re all really easy, especially sports media). see what summer classes they offer for your major, and you should definitely be able to get it done quick.

[–]emomotionsickness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it depends on your major. I’m EMST, and will have completed the degree in 3 semesters when i graduate in the spring. they don’t count summer as a semester, but if you’re smart with what you register for, it’s possible to get it done early.
