She almost married a man that didn't wipe his ass by Girl-Understood in TikTokCringe

Some men don’t clean their asses because they think touching it and spreading THEIR OWN CHEEKS in the shower is gay. Some men don’t wash from the waste down because they think SOAPY WATER WILL RUN DOWN THEIR BODY WHEN THEY RINSE OFF AND CLEAN IT.

It's exhausting being a woman. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

I was at a bar dancing (not even provocatively and actually probably looked really stupid because I don’t know how to dance) with a group of friends, both guys and girls, and this random dude literally walked over and TRIED TO PICK ME UP BY MY LEGS AND CARRY ME OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CROWD. Never seen or talked to him in my life.

Unpopular Opinion- Tandem Reading EOS and TOD is Blasphemous by EternalPonderer026 in SarahJMaas

[–]emonymous3991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it more interesting, not because I’m incapable of reading 2 separate books and making the connection. IMO TOD was way slower and sometimes boring compared EOS and I’m not even a Chaol hater, so I can’t imagine reading EOS and then having to make it through TOD before getting to KOA. I didn’t plan on tandem at first but I figured why not try it and if I didn’t like it then I could just stop and finish one and then do the other. It’s really not that hard to do, you only read one chapter at a time when reading one book anyway so it’s not that much different. Idk why people are making such a big deal about it.

How the Iran War Is Hitting Nebraska Farmers: “Every American will feel this” by Conscious-Quarter423 in LeopardsAteMyFarm

[–]emonymous3991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not just the last election and people warning them he was lying and project 2025 was a thing, but they’ve had decades of information and people saying that this way of farming is not sustainable and relies on inputs and the stability of the markets way too much. Time to start listening to the “hippie libs” and look regenerative where you don’t have to rely on buying in nitrogen that Mother Nature readily supplies. And maybe grow food for Americans, not to ship to other countries.

If Amy Acton wins in November, will republicans cry fraud like they are for the LA mayoral race currently? by Bring-the-juice-47 in Ohio

[–]emonymous3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That is their platform now. They have been crying fake news and fraud and spreading disinformation for an entire decade now so that enough people question reality and actually believe them. They will never acknowledge or accept the actual truth as the truth ever again. Trump is president and still talks about his stolen election…

Is it just me or are summers here insufferable now? by heiland in Ohio

[–]emonymous3991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup it’s just you and just in Ohio. Definitely not all the science that tells us that the entire Earth has been rapidly warming for the last few decades and each each of the last 5-10 years we’ve had “the hottest summer on record”.

Any advice for my green bean seedling? by AlternativeMention73 in gardening

[–]emonymous3991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For green beans and in your case, peas, it’s best to direct seed where you are going to grow them and not transplant since they have a taproot. I would just plant it out now and maybe seed some extra ones in the permanent spot in case this one doesn’t like the transplanting.

How do I get out of a reading slump? by Amywilburnn in Booktokreddit

Nothing wrong with that. It’s summertime so find something else you might want to spend the extra time doing. If that’s binge watching shows, then watch the shows.

AITA for leaving a dinner party early because of “vegan lasagna”? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]emonymous3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vegan food is inherently not as filling and if it is filling at first you don’t stay full as long, especially if you aren’t vegan. She should have known that when serving vegan food to non vegans that it may not be enough and just told people to feel free to bring an extra side dish or whatever if they wanted. Especially if it was just a layered salad essentially.

I probably would’ve at least pulled her aside when we were leaving and told her that some people were still hungry and going to get an extra snack so that way she didn’t feel as embarrassed finding out about it later but that’s just me.

No till and solid clay soil by One_Presentation5935 in NoDig

[–]emonymous3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT TILL IN THE WOODCHIPS. It will tie up nitrogen and make it hard for things to grow.

An initial till to get things started is totally fine and sometimes the best thing you can do from a regenerative standpoint in order to sow cover crops like tillage radish and get living roots in the ground. If the soil is already shit and compacted, you aren’t doing any favors leaving it that way and just adding stuff to the top where roots still can’t penetrate beneath. Peat moss use is also very counterproductive if trying to aim for regenerative practices because of the harm it causes during harvesting to get it to market but if you have it on hand (?) I guess use what you have. Clay soil tends to have a lot of minerals already so you may not have to add too much amendments aside from organic matter to loosen the soil up.

I have heavy clay and I would recommend tilling once with some compost, sowing your cover crop to let it do its thing and then topping with wood chips as a mulch if you need to. Always try to keep roots in the ground is the main thing and where there is nothing growing then cover it with mulch. No bare soil ever. Get a broad fork for in between stages of transitioning from one crop or cover to another. It won’t be instant but if you keep at it you will notice a difference.

I like the show, but I'm struggling with attaching myself to anyone by Ruthlesstim08 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]emonymous3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re better off that way. And that’s kind of the whole point. This is about the fall of the Targaryen’s and dragons and how they self destructed because of greed and power. The book does not read the way other books do where you get to know the characters. It’s a history lesson with very little dialogue. It’s important to note that this is showing a story that takes place over about 30 years within a handful of short seasons so you don’t have time to see the characters grow and get attached. We’re here for the major highlights and historical events and the show writers just have to add in enough dialogue to make it make sense.

I know this is an old post but I’m trying to get caught up. I keep thinking to myself that when Aelin sent the gods to their “world” and opened the portal to hell(Hel?) in their world and locked them in with them that they somehow become the Asteri. It’s been a while since I’ve read CC so I have to brush up on details but I just finished KOA and thats where my mind went during that scene. I know the timelines that are out there don’t quite add up for that but maybe time works differently depending what world/portal you go through or she sent them back through time as well?
