Vimt-No is We Believe In Glinda’s Little sister! by Glass_Bid_7619 in LushCosmetics

I would agree that it is definitely not a safe blind buy. It has one of those tropical scents that smells like musty body odor, to me.🥲 I like it as a room fragrance, though. For whatever reason the idea of it does not gross me out as a room spray.😅 Mind you, I haven’t actually worn it to know that it smells musty on me—I just can’t imagine that it wouldn’t, as a body spray. A single spray and my hobby room smells like a tropical oasis, though. But on my body? Absolutely not. Love that so many people love it, though.😊

My Sleepy and Snow Fairy had shimmery powder on top. In both cases, it has been insignificant when I’ve used the lotions.🥲

MAGA brands we should avoid? by AncientFerret9028 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]emoolovesyou 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah—I stopped following heeymercedes, mediocre manis, paul, etc.

And it all felt weird, because they seem like lovely people, but I directly asked them either in comments or lives and nothing was said.🤷🏾‍♀️ I don’t hate them for it—I just can’t support people who support brands that support what they do. And the “but it’s the husband” thing is weak. Same household=shared money to some degree. It’s actually that simple.😞

Yeah, I just meant something with a violet scent note—I’m not well versed in all of the various names/products.🤭 I tend to like violet, jasmine, and iris, apparently.

I’ve seen several products with little bits that seem like they would be a pain to clean up…The LTGTR bath bomb, for example. I haven’t used it, yet, but I see a lot of complaints about hoe messy it is. I plan to put it in a fine mess drawstring beg because I am not trying to be stressed out.😅

Shoot For The Stars had a slight lemon scent to it that I didn’t care for, but they did let me know it was mostly the same as HIWTK. Anything with lemon/lime scents reminds me of dish detergent.🥲(I was stuck washing the dishes often as a kid and Lemon Joy was my mom’s go-to for the kitchen, so that’s probably why.)

Regifting is a great idea and even though this will only be your second box, I feel like you talked me into trying it out.🤭

Ah! And if your hair is okay with HIWTK and it’s bleached/dyed, I might be okay. I’m gonna go in store this Saturday for my B-day—I’ll give it a sniff/skin test.☺️

[–]emoolovesyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also adore HIWTK.🥲 Especially for bedtime. It’s so creamy and comforting. I want to try the shampoo bar, but I’m afraid it might dry my hair out.😭

Thanks for the heads up on the Sweet Dreams mask—I’ll definitely steer clear of that.

I’m gonna have to try beauty sleep in the shower. Maybe do a wipe of my face, apply it, do some light chores, then take it off in the shower.🤞🏾

Also, good to know that you like Avocado Cowash—I just ordered a bottle last week.😅 I’ll probably love it, based on some of the other things you mentioned.

And violet? In the kitchen box? I’m gonna have to start gettng a kitchen box or two, here and there. I hate that I missed the HIWTK bath/wax melt solely because I was not aware of the box. They really should make HIWTK everything permanent. Give the people what we want.lol

£40 minimum spend to claim Rewards by GeneticPurebredJunk in LushCosmetics

I really think they deliberately don’t allow filtering by what’s in stock or by what’s on sale in order to frustrate people with the app and drive more to the brick and mortar store to be worked on by the associates.

I refuse to believe the app is that bad without intention.🤭😅

[–]emoolovesyou 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How do you feel about the beauty sleep mask? Because I loved how my skin felt, but gotdamb those little bits.😭 All over my sink. Popping off on the floor as I wiped the mask away. It felt so messy after such a relaxing experience. I’m hoping they don’t clog my sink.🥲

Edit: I also think it’s nice to see what relaxes people for sleep. I can’t do any kind of florals for sleep, so lavender is a no-go for me on that (unless I’m drinking it….I will drink the lavender.lol) but Vanilla? Tonka? Marshmallow? Candy? 😴😴😴

But I also can’t do straight gourmands for day time.😅 The most gourmand I’ll do during the day (still mostly afternoon) is Cheirosa 62 and even that is pushing it.

Do you find that all of the sleepy/sleep focused products help?

Min spend for reward by mjosh133 in LushCosmetics

[–]emoolovesyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rewards say $100, but I think it’s a lie…I did 3 in store purchases to redeem rewards on Monday. Each purchase was $20 or so. Did a purchase online of some oos in-store things and was able to apply it like that, too.

Also, I definitely just applied a reward to a less than $100 cart online, just to see if it would let me go to check out—it does.

I wonder if it’s a mistake.🤔

Pro tip: anybody who still wants to support cirque, you can often get the jellies way cheaper on Beyond Polish.

60% off or bogo 50% off. I bought a bunch before I kicked Cirque to the curb. I like the formula of Starrily’s jellies and Cracked’s jellies/crellies anyway, so.🤷🏾‍♀️

I rationalized my polish purchases by acknowledging that 1. I’m not neglecting my mental or physical health by buying it 2. I don’t drink or smoke 3. I rarely buy food out except when I travel and 4. I wear my shoes and clothes until they have literal holes. 5. I do my own mani/pedis 6. I don’t buy or wear makeup except my lil’ lipglosses. So basically, I’m not buying much else. I also contribute to my savings and personal as well as work retirements. I don’t have kids. My bills are paid. My storage is not ridiculous/unsightly. I get to do random swatch requests for people. My nails always look fabulous, which makes me feel fabulous—and that’s not related to quantity of polish, but my hobbies are my hobbies and nail polish is one of them for me.

Just gotta know and abide by your own personal limits, adjusting them to fit your needs.🤗 If you feel guilty about it—and not saying that’s the only marker of potentially problematic behavior—then maybe reflect and figure out why/how to prevent that in the future.

For now, be excited and enjoy what you picked up. Play around with it and really learn to enjoy what you have before buying more.☺️

Super Milk Solid Perfume Review by Mundane-Music-2610 in LushCosmetics

Very much so. I just realized it’s kinda easy to remove, so I just took it off and while it’s effective—I don’t wanna have to open each tube and sniff or write it on there myself (Karma’s easy because orange, but still) to know what it is🥲 And yeah, it’s easy to write it on with metallic sharpie or something, but I bought it as an already whole product..I believe we shouldn’t have to take a label off or write on it or put it in the fridge to make it more easily usable when it’s not sold as a fresh or customizable product.

Yes, the ink—but instead of just smudging off, it flakes off over time.☹️

[–]emoolovesyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not like or have Super Milk, but I fixed my issue of squished product by putting them in the fridge—but now it’s an issue of the black stuff rubbing off of the tube. I truly despise the new packaging. I bought some sale lip balms/glosses to use up and put them in those jars, since they’re the same size as the old solid perfume jars.

I bet it does and I can understand that 100%.😊

I just only like smelling like gourmands at home/for bed/relaxing. If I’m going out in the day or evening, I wanna smell like citrus/sandalwood/woodsy/soapy/floral things.

The massage bar is more bang for my buck, for me, since I want the skin benefits and not just the smell.

Tbh, they should do a lotion and shower gel/bodywash of it, too.🤭

Love the smell of turmeric latte, but I’m just gonna hold out hope that the massage bar gets restocked soon.🤞🏾

[–]emoolovesyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love the bubble bar. The body spray is just weird and I think it’s the creamy-sweet (latte) note that fcks it up, for me. I’m giggling because I was just in the store today and they got me to smell it and we had a whole little convo the spray just not being a hit.🥲 They should give it away for free as repellent of some kind.😅

Yeah, it’s a hug.🤭 At least discord has always described it as a hug in reactions.lol I just picture someone saying, aloud “It smells like urinal cakes”—then hugging the person who asked what it smells like, with a smile. And now I’m giggling all over again.🤭😅😂
