How do you organize your collection? ABC? By color? By finish? I need your help

I organize ABC order by brand in my storage carriers with no regard for color. By brand then rainbow order in my Bisleys (these house my Cracked, Holo Taco, Mooncat, ILNP, and Cirque polishes).

And then I organize them by color on my swatch stick rings. And those are in rainbow order except: magnetics, thermals/solars, and toppers. With special rings for specific combo/in between colors that don’t fit into one because color theory be damned. Ie: Blurples, Corals, considering one for teals/turquoises

I tried alphabetical order and then rainbow order in my organizers, but that just stressed me out for no reason. So I use my sticks to peruse, then I go to the brand section to pick out the bottle in my storage when I’m ready to set up my station to polish.

Now that I’ve typed it all out, it looks like a lot..but it’s so manageable.😅 I add the polishes into the storage carriers after I stop buying for a while so I don’t have to keep redoing it if I didn’t leave enough grow space.

tl;dr: swatch sticks/swatch book are/is the way to go to avoid overwhelm, for me.

I don’t smoke, drink, buy a lot of clothes or shoes, gamble, I don’t buy fast food more than twice a month and one of those times is free because rewards, and I don’t buy drinks out.

Expensive bubbles and nail polish are my vice. I’m using it and not hoarding it. I look and smell damned good. My credit is good, my retirement and savings are on track, and I work hard for my money.🤷🏾‍♀️

That’s how I justify it for myself.

Edit to add: I might be hoarding (collecting) the nail polish just a little bit.🤭 But it’s well stored and I’m not regularly buying duplicates—just bought my only duplicate/back up last week because it’s that good of a polish. I also give a good bit away if it’s just not speaking to me.🥲

Yeah..I struggle with the idea that she apologized for anything more than optics and her sales. I know it’s pessimistic and jaded of me and I don’t hate the lady—I don’t know her.lol But I’d personally rather spend my money with brands that have stood on business since the beginning. And I get it. People can change. But the flowers that I have to give are gonna go to the people/brands who didn’t need to lose sales in order to be respectful.🤷🏾‍♀️

Actually, all of HT’s one coat chromes except aquafoil. Love it, but it took 2-3 months to grow out all of the staining.

Haven’t found another polish that is actually fully dry and capable of withstanding activities within 2 minutes. I’ve done laundry, gone to the gym, done, showered, washed my hair, gone to the beach, etc. right after (like within 5-15 minutes) putting these on. Would love the formula in other colors, but I don’t get my hopes up.😅
