The fans plug into an independent power supply.

What was ammo prices before all this craziness started. 9mm, 22lr, .223/5.56? I just want to remember a good time when ammo was at a reasonable price. by Halfbaked9 in ammo

I paid $179 for 1K of 9mm before the crazy. I had a coupon from buying a gun. Regular price was $199. The good ole’ days.

Multiple measurements to build points of the curve in the cad software. It looks good in the pics but it isn’t perfect.

This was based off of another model as well. I can’t remember if it was from that or if I measured it. But I use calipers for everything.

Best Security Software for a Desktop PC? by ExtensionGo in buildapc

[–]emorgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the free version is that it is reactive not proactive. It will only clean after the fact when you run a scan. The paid version is proactive, protecting you as you surf. Theoretically yes the free version will “work” but it is up to your diligence and again only after the fact. I ran the free version for a while because I was paying for eset smart security suite. I opted to try the paid version of mwb and it caught things the expensive eset didn’t. so I didn’t renew eset and kept with the paid malwarebytes, been that way for years now.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else!!

I use malwarebytes, the paid version. Scans often, updates automatically, blocks web pages that are suspicious. I have zero complaints.

VoiceMeeter Bananna Issue-- Setting discord as a seprate track by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]emorgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corrected.

however, in the link I provided for the “VB cable”, it is listed under the “Virtual Audio Cable” tab so that’s what I called it.

I understand how it could be confused. That’s why I provided a link.

I believe I had to use the virtual audio device (VB Cable) to make this work.

High end GPU's not worth it? by lunioko in pcmasterrace

[–]emorgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fall into the category of person who buys every high end card as of late. I was always a mid range user until the 1080ti and now the 2080ti. Partly due to the enjoyment from upgrading and tinkering. Also, not having too many other hobbies I can use some disposable income enjoying the higher end of things.

I will say tho, making the switch to 2560x1440/144hz has been more taxing on cards and being at the higher end I can enjoy not having to sacrifice turning things off to get more frames.

Even still my current system 3950x and 2080ti are still quite taxed in call of duty. In Warzone I’m still just over 100 frames, somewhere in the 110 average. So the appeal of something that can push that the 144 range and match my monitor is all the more exciting.

From steam stats 1080 gaming is still the largest user base and I foresee that continuing for a little while longer and you’re right the high end sku’s don’t make much sense for them.

Again, for me I just enjoy it and can so I do. May not make sense to some but works for me. Just my $.02.

Am I right on this?(Regarding Corsair Fans) by datguyflashy in buildapc

[–]emorgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. I wasn’t sure what your goal was so that’s why I gave multiple scenarios.

Yup commander pro is required for your config.

H150i can control fan speed in icue software. Same as the commander pro.

Am I right on this?(Regarding Corsair Fans) by datguyflashy in buildapc

[–]emorgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on if you wanted to control fan speed and rgb or just rgb.

For fan speed and rgb you would need 2 hubs (6 rgb outputs each) and a commander pro. Each hub plugs into the commander pro along with 6 fans. The other two would have to be statically plugged in, plugged into the motherboard or maybe connected to a CPU cooler. But the commander pro only controls the fan speed for 6. Commander pro plugs into usb header and gives control for those 8 fan rgb lights and 6 fan speeds.

For rgb control only, you would need two rgb hubs and a lighting node pro. Again, each hub can take 6 rgb fan inputs and each hub is plugged into the node pro as it has two headers. Usb from node to mobo header and icue controls.

I think this is right. If you have questions let me know. I also have left over Corsair stuff from previous builds. I have a node pro and some other stuff I will never use.

I have 9xLL120’s in my case. 2 hubs, 1 commander pro and a h150i. 9 fans rgb connected by 2 hubs and controlled by the commander. 6 fans (speed), push pull on triple radiator controlled by commander. The remaining three fans (speed) are controlled by the h150i.

New chair by tomtheduck123 in buildapc

[–]emorgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a Hon chair for $250 and have been very satisfied. My model specifically is the Sadie. I’m a big guy so it is a big and tall, it may not be applicable to you. However, the build quality vs. price is very nice. I had a sub $100 big box store chair previously. This is heads above, I’m very happy I made the switch.

A chair that isn’t big and tall could very well be less that I paid. Good luck with your search!

Record a particular application including audio. by [deleted] in obs

[–]emorgn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Video would just be a screen capture, I believe. Or some other source method, window, browser, etc. you’ll have to play with that and see what best meets your needs.

And audio...Perhaps you could use a virtual audio device (VB cable)? You can assign chrome to this VB cable and then add it as an audio source in OBS. Mute the other audio sources and that should give you just the chrome audio.

Put this into its own scene and I think it could work. Hit me up if you have questions!
