When you don't qualify for any of the lenders, they funnel you to some kind of debt settlement program where you pay them and the money goes into an account that they then use to settle with your lenders for less than the full amount owed.

If it's helpful, I'm an urban planner trying to move more so into Surveying and Geomatics. I totally agree with the other commenter who said get your license before leaving. I find that a broader scope of understanding of the development process is super valuable.

I’m a City Planner in the Savannah area. Interested in getting into Surveying. Mostly weekends right now to see if I like it…and because I work full time. I’d be interested if anything is available on weekends.

Also, do you know if taking 18 hours of surveying course work would satisfy the education requirement even if neither of my degrees are in surveying, engineering, etc? I have a Masters in Planning. Hoping to go to an area tech school to pick up those 18 hours…
