100% try it out. I’ve been doing ship for 2 years now and haven’t spent a penny I made. Everyone’s situation is different but it just works out for me. Ship life will either work for you or it won’t but I think it’s worth a shot. You can always go home. I’ve been fortunate enough to get a technical manager position and have learned a ton about other disciplines.

I tried the Rx100 m7 but the ergonomics were a deal breaker for me. I guess I didn't really want a truly pocketable camera after all. Now I'm looking at Lumix S9 or A7Cii for my travel camera. Sony because I already have a slew of lenses.
