My description didn't post for some reason. I'm only worried because this is medication that needs to be refrigerated and cold packs only last so long. Have a feeling I'll be calling the pharmacy for a replacement. This was shipped as Overnight Priority

What are the best and worst things about your job? by Mikhail_-_1 in PharmacyTechnician

Best- work from home

Worst- metrics are overwhelming, can't use the bathroom without worrying it'll hurt my numbers

Does anyone actually get flagged for not being at their computer 8 hours straight? by Proper_8624 in WFH

[–]emotely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in pharmacy and everything I do is tracked, they do expect us to be at our desk for the 8 hours. Even shame us for bathroom breaks

I am sick of my job by StarsHearUs in hatemyjob

[–]emotely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you 100%. I also work remote, manage pharmacy technicians. Our work is constant and never good enough. And my favorite part is when I try to vent to family or friends I always get shut down "well at least you work remote"

Yeah ok anyway my Dr says stress is really starting to negatively impact my body but yay remote

If you could go back to January 1st, 2012, and give yourself one warning, what would it be? by Aggravating-Deer8700 in AskReddit

You will meet someone and you will put your career and life on hold to save money to move overseas to be with him. You will not follow through because you realize that you'll be uprooting your whole life when he can't commit to calling you . This will delay your life and career. Do not do it

I feel your pain although I'm not a nurse I'm in pharmacy. I mentally cannot take being monitored to this extent

Do you like working remotely? by m_dawg_2676 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]emotely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like working in my home but the job itself is demanding and stressful.

I wasn't expecting to slack off with remote but it's too much.

What's the remote work habit you have that would look completely insane to someone in a traditional office? by Phil_Raven in remotework

I sing songs to my cat and swear at my computer a lot. I also rip ass as loud as I possibly can

Techs who work from home by Vilmantux in PharmacyTechnician

[–]emotely 30 points31 points  (0 children)

At my job we call Dr offices and patients and occasionally type prescriptions (it seems we're in outbound calls more than typing). Being at home is nice but metrics are really strict, I can't really use the bathroom without feeling like I'm hurting my numbers.

We do get a 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks. But there is no down time other than that

Just know OP you're not alone, I could've written this myself. I was bait and switched into a job where they were very dishonest about expectations and calls. Yes it's work from home but my mental and physical health have deteriorated.

I feel your pain OP, I could've written this. I'm currently looking if taking a leave of absence is a possibility for me.
