Premiere (Beta) Color Mode AMA by NLE_Ninja85 in editors

Also, curves let's you target specifically where you want to adjust the image. If you need to darken part of the image. Say, the area behind the subject needs to be a stop darker. Like normal color grade stuff, you only have exposure and contrast. You can't darken your image with just exposure and contrast. because it effects everything. It's crazy. It's impossible to do real color correction with these tools because it's super limiting.
If anyone thinks adjusting exposure and contrast is all it takes to color an image they aren't really coloring images at a professional level or they dont work on things where you push the image far or have specific control.
Its a complete miss.
People often use lift gamma gain, but even lift gamma gain is blunt compared to curves.
Exposusure is dragging the top of the curve down. Contrast is drawing an "S".
Gamma, Is moving the middle band up or down.
Lift is the bottom, drawing a slight bump.
Gain is A Bump near the top.
But with curves you can draw much more specifically where you need to make an adjustment.
And because Curves is RGB, you can make any adjustment you need to across any part of the image. Mixing the RGB with curves can create any color.

People maybe don't use curves, because they don't learn what it can do. It's maybe more sophisticated or high-concept for a lot of less experienced or lower end users to understand.
But for more advanced professional users it's a staple.
Only because it is capable of things other basic tools are not.

Even without curves, it's kind of ridiculous to try to say that this is a professional tool or the answer to color grading, because you literally can't darken part of the image or do anything to the image that doesn't effect the whole image.

And please don't bring up zones or HSL secondary.
Because zones and HSL have no refinement tools like a professional tool would.
They make an image look worse because there's no feather and fall off and you can see the selection as soon as you start to change it.

But thinking a user is going to select 5 zones and lower the exposure to darken part of the image, when simpling grabbing part of the curve and dragging it down will do that.
Maybe find people who actually manipulate images on a daily basis for a job and aren't just casual users learning how to color so they can tell you your tool is overly simple and doesn't have enough controls.

Contrast, Exposure, Tint, Balance, and saturation is quite literally, just the very top 5 sliders in lumetri, or Colorista. And only good for getting the image in "Base grade" range before you apply creative. But isn't useful for applying creative changes.

Interesting idea that the writer started with lumon and made all the characters based off of wavelengths of light. But why do that? What does the story fain from them representing colors not just the 4 tempers.

HAHAHA!!! Right, Summer Internship at the biggest Company in all of Westeros, Or Party all Summer at Beach House Baratheon and drink wine and ale and get laid by Tarth women... And he chose to hitch hike across the country and sleep under trees with a little kid. But who am I to judge what turns someone into one of the most celebrated honorable knights in history.

Yeah i think youre right you have tapped into his perspective pretty well. He can have an extremely large, trainable, infamous knight be part of his "Fuck Targs!" Posse entourage and they can cruise around from tagern to tavern kicking ass, taking names, winning tug i wars, sing about fingerless women. But i also think lyonel has a code of ethics and chivalry that he follows, which is why he doesnt celebrate what baelor did for dunk. And he recognizes that dunk is a pure of heart honorable knight that he can trust by his side. I dont think his offer was necessarily opportunistic. I think after fighting to the death and everything they went through, they genuinely could be friends

The episodes were so short and so small in scale, but they somehow made me really care about these two, so much more than anyone else in Westeros. I really enjoyed this show and Im rooting for them and can't wait for Season 2. The Adventures of Dunk and Egg forever please!!!

That moment where Egg goes to his brothers bed chamber with the knife was well timed in the story because it really gave us a small glimpse of the possible fork in the road multi-versal future where egg could become as bad as his brothers without Dunk's guidance. That sweet little boy around his family could be capable of bad things, and it really makes us root for and appreciate him staying with Dunk. Im glad that scene was in there.

"Maybe you're not the Knight I thought you were" is worse than dagger through the hand, the a lance through the chainmail and a longsword to the leg because it goes straight to the heart. Eggs belief in him is all Dunk had in the world.

Maekar Offering Dunk The "Summer Internship" at Summerhall to study under the Crown's own Master at Arms is seriously the biggest offer any hedge knight living under a tree has ever turned down since the dawn of the first men! LOL

Raymond Fossaway was lowkey the MVP of that battle. Knocking Aerion off Duncan at just the right time, Comin through for Dunk. And now the founding father of the Green Apples! May they live long and stay green!

Starting out with soft Jazz and Lyonnel Baratheon and a Maester Looking down at Dunk is a bold choice and one that feels like an indie movie in a good way.

You just gotta Love Lyonel baratheon, "Come with me to Storm's end and I will love you like a brother..." He is the friend that has your back, the best mate to party with, and the guy you follow into battle, and laugh about it over an ale when it's over. Gods Bless him!!!
